However not all multimeters are accurate in the sub ohm range and not all fluke ones can measure sun ohm.

I have both, VAMO V3 and a cheap multimeter (feel the VAMO is more accurate [could be the batteries in my multimeter are old and getting weak too])
Found a guy who "modded" his using a 510 connector (madvapes) drilled the case of the multimeter, mounted the 510 connector on his multimeter, then soldered the connection internally to the back side of the probe ports.

Someone here on this forum also took an old busted carto tank and figured out how to put the above in it

My SVD works great for me. At least if you get an APV you'll have multiple uses for it! You can't vape an ohm meter!
Thanks fellas. And if I got the gotvapes screw on style multimeter, anyone know if it would read a bcc attached with a 510/ego adapter? don't think my protank/evod/davide would fit on the 510 multimeter port without it.

Good: Mods will check resistance and shorts
Bad: they have protection and will not go very low, also they will not check continuity.
I think it depends on how and what you build if your rebuilding clearo coils a mod is more than sufficient. If your venturing more in to the exotic a multimeter would be better.

My husband was checking yesterday to see if some of his old 6 volt batteries were still good, he was glad I bought a multimeter so now he can use it too
3 multimeters later... the black ohm reading boxes are worth the effort to acquire. Most APVs will check the resistance just fine, but not all will detect a short or have short protection. I lost my first Vamo V2 that way.
Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter IF you can catch it in stock, it's the best way I've found, but get a good multimeter too. It'll come in handy for a lot of other things.
Yes, that is a big "if" I know it would be much easier to screw an atomizer in the box. Last ones they had in stock were in July..what was it in stock for a day or two. I am sure everyone and their brother is on their notify list including me.
Thought vamos had over-current protection (more sophisticated than a fuse)?
Put yourself on notify when in stock list, and hit it within 5 minutes of getting the e-mail... only way to get one.
I am already on the list. Just hope I am one of the fortunate ones. Has anyone heard of when they should be back in stock.
I use a cheap DMM. I can check any size battery or any piece of resistance wire, be it a coil yet or not. Works for me.
