I have purchased (and killed) probably 50, 801 attys dripping at 6V all day. I have found only 1 that seems to last. I have purchased so many, I forgot who sells which one.

All I know now is that the good one is chome plated and has a chrome base. It measure 3.9-4.1 ohms when new. It kicks serious vaping ....

I have about 6, 801s that are chrome plated with black bases that measure 5 ohms when new. They suck (don't suck well)....they stink.

Does anyone know where I may have secured these 4 ohm attys or where I can get some more 4 ohm models?

Does anyone know the "correct" (or suggested) resistance for attys based on vaping voltages?

Can't help ya' on where to find the special 801's, but "my" recommended resistance for 901's is:

3.7 volts - 1.5 ohm LR 901 atty
6.0 volts - 4.5 ohm HV 901 atty
7.2 volts - 5.2 ohm XHV 901 atty

I think you are talking about the BE112. :)

The attys the measure 5 ohms do not vaporize the liquid as well. When any of my attys clog up enough to measure 6 ohms, it's like sucking golf ball through a garden hose to get a decent amount of vapor.

Therefore, it seems that 4 ohms is the perfect vaping resistance for major plumage. Perhaps, not...hence I inquire.
Certainly, 6 ohms is WAY too high for effective 6V vaping, that's why I suggested the ideal is around 4.5+/- a small amount.
What's recommended and what your best experiences are may be different things also - for example, some people like standard 3 ohm atomisers at 6V, I suggest that these people may not have taste buds. :D

My bad. I just re-measured the one I am hitting on now - 4.7 ohms. It probable started at 4.5. When they get above 5.5 ohms, they don't work well.

when they go at 5,5 ohm then they have the perfect resistance for 7,4 volt vaping, so put 2xcr123A batteries and you will be more than ok 2packs
