Ohms jumping?

Shouldn't be jumping around.

I would say a few possibilities:
  1. Look connection with the negative post or positive post. I would check that by tightening them again and checking ohms again.
  2. You over tightened and you ended up clipping a lead causing the ohms to jump around. (I've done this before, it's why I suggest it)
  3. Also, the connections could be dirty. Maybe wipe down the threading in the 510 and the contact pin on the MVP 3 pro with a papertowel. I've seen someone in person with this complaint and the paper towel came out dirty. Also wiping the threads on the 510 connection and the pin on the rda could help.
Maybe some other could give suggestions but these are some reasons I've seen first hand.

Thanks! I made some adjustments. Still getting .66 and .67 Is that a small enough variance to not worry? Or should it not vary at all?

I wouldn't sweat it. A 0.01Ω variance is insignificant. The mod probably isn't even accurate to 0.01Ω. Any number of things can cause very slight fluctuations in resistance, none of them merit any concern unless the variance is much greater than what you are experiencing.

Assuming 30W for the sake of argument, .66 will result in the mod putting out 4.48V, .67 also 4.48V, .71 will be 4.6V. Not enough to worry about.

Something's still loose. Coils don't change resistance like that in a short amount of time. RDA post screws, 510 connection to the atomizer, one of them is not making a secure connection. Such slight deviations as yours is not a big deal concerning your safety, but I'm sure you'd like to find a fix.

I might suggest you gently tease up the MVP's 510 center pin. In the past MVP's have had sort of a history of their center pins falling into the mod battery because of over-tightening the atomizer. Use a metal nail file, or better yet a micro screwdriver and gently tease the center pin higher to secure a better connection to your RDA.

using a Baal rda clone on my mvp 3 pro. I installed prebuilt coils. I'm concerned because the reading keeps jumping from .67 .68 .69 Once it even said .71

should I be worried?

0.67 to 0.71 is only a 0.05 ohm variance.

That amount of variation is not unusual, but the lower the ohms of the coil you use, the more relevant it becomes.

It comes from contact resistances.

If you welded your rda onto your mod, and welded the coil onto the posts,,,,, and I guess, if you weld the battery onto it's contact points, then I guess you wouldn't have anymore contact resistance.
(Just to be clear, I am no suggesting that you weld anything, I am just trying to explain to you why you/we-all get that ohms variation)
