I read somewhere (should have written it down) that there is a formula for determining the correct voltage to set on VV devices using ohms law. Currently i'm using voltage = ohms+2. Is there a better way for determining the correct voltage for the ohms rating of my clearomizer?

It kind of depends on the wattage you want to vape at. If you know that,
W = Watts, V = Volts, R = Resistance in ohms
W = V^2/R
Or, V = Sqrt(W*R), where Sqrt is the square root.
Ohms + 2 is a pretty good guide for the voltages we use.

No math needed, just look at the light-green areas of the chart I posted, then trace up to the voltage and trace left to the ohms.
The main question is where does it taste right to you? Most likely you'll find, if you look at the chart, you're probably in the bright green area. You might be in the dark green or purple. You could even be in bright red or dark blue, although I wouldn't recommend either.
I fiddle when using VV. Mornings tend to be slightly higher voltage than evenings, but I also tend to huddle around 3.7 - 4.0 volts. You'll find a different sweet spot, and that's great.

There is no need to worry about numbers simply adjust it from lower to a higher setting until you find it tastes right.

I use this a lot, mainly I punch in my voltage and resistance to see what wattage I'm vaping. I do it out of curiosity mostly but you can get some useful numbers out of it. Sometimes you need to know the amps to make sure you're not pushing the batts or switches too hard.
