Don't have any idea what copper wire has to do with the OP's question just thought I might mention never use copper wire to make Vaping Coils.
*such as* copper. All normal conducting metals which current carrying wires are made of display the behavior the OP described which is expressed by the temperature coefficient of the metal.

It would be prudent to make sure you note NOT to use copper when trying to give advise to new members.

Not criticizing just making note that copper should not be used for coils. You sort of left that part out.
I also left out that one shouldn't use dental floss and human hairs because I never made any assertions about what would make a good/bad material for making coils. No one ever asked that question.
