you can make all comments you want, but he's the best QB we've had in decades. holds a ton of Bears records. Now that the line is getting better and hopefully we get defense back to Chicago standards, look out.

hmmm... Bears qb records. i'm not thinking that's a very steep hill to climb... :)

QB records are meaningless comparing old to contemporary QBs. The cornerbacks used to be able to mug receivers. Now if they look at them wrong its a penalty. The game is now a passing game so much more that it used to be. THe NFL likes higher scoring to get more revenues.

damn right, within 5 to 10 years flag football is going to have more contact than the NFL... tackle box, defenseless receiver, roughing the passer (to an extent i agree with these the way they were meant to be, not how they are, or are becoming) most of all why cant there be a.... well that really isnt the defenders fault, he stopped but he still hit him because of x or whatever...

bah... FORK YOU GOODELL!!!

to MamaTried he will at the minimum fit the bill until the new GM (who despite a few questionable decisions that i dont agree with is winning me over...) Cutler is a good QB, I was not a fan of him and am slowing becoming more of a fan, however I would really like to see the Bears draft a good ROOKIE qb, bench him for a season at least, maybe 2 or 3, then start him...

problem with all these phenom rookie qbs... they arent consistent... they dont have the knowledge they need, they dont know... then you got these greats who straddled some bench for a season or 2, maybe more before they got their start... and the good ones... they are great, statistically better than the rookie phenoms, because they are consistent...

dont get me wrong I am a fan of Russell Wilson, but some bench time "should" have done him good... (not a guaranteed thing that bench time helps consistency, just in general it does imho) hes great, but hes not consistent, if he was seattle would demolish every team, there would not have been a close game this season... thats just my opinion though...
