Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie from the UK, who has just moved up from e-cigs to a vGo manual battery and a RokStar. I much prefer the clearomisers to the cartomisers and like the look of the ones that I have found on a juicy cigs and liberty flights. This is where I then come to a grinding halt as there are two different "Ohm" options and I am clueless as to which one I need. Also, what exactly are drip tips? Are they what you put on the end of your clearomiser? (like the ones on the Rokstar)? Apart from filling my Rokstar with ejuice from the wrong end (don't ask how I did it as it's impossible to do!), I've kind of got the hang of using them. Loving this vaping lark and have already steered a few people off the "analogues" (yes, I've been reading up! :p) and onto e-cigs. Anyone with any tips or must-have flavours, please let me know!

Cheers

Welcome to ECF . I don't get into the math , in regards to the ohm ratings , but to simplify a bit . A LR ( low resistance ) might read from 1.3 to maybe 2.1 or 2.2 . A SR ( standard ) might read from , say 2.3 or 4 , to 2.7 . 2.8 . Above that is HR or high resistance 3.0 ohms , and up . Starting with LR , you might use it on the lower voltage devices , but SR will usually work as well . HR is for higher voltages . 5 volts and above . Essentially using a LR carto , on a 3.7 device , is sorta like using a SR on a 5 volt device . LR tend to wear out a battery charge a bit quicker , for some reason . Again I don't get into the math , on this . The drip tip , is a mouthpiece , that you can put in an atty , or carto , to vape without having to " stovepipe " . ( putting your lips directly on the carto , or atty , itself ( gets very warm ) You can do a internet search , and find lots of pictures , of available drip tips . Nearly all E-gig vendors sell drip tips . But not necessarily the particular one , you may be looking for . I get my tips from 4 different vendors . Maybe someone else can explain the Ohm thing better , but good luck .

Hi Mimsworth,
I don't think we can post links here (I'm brand new to the forum) but If you google Virgin Vapor and go to the bottom on the homepage there's a blog post there that explains Ohms very well. It helped me a lot. I personally like higher ohms, which produces cooler vapor.

I LOVE the juice at Virgin Vapors. So many good ones. She sells them in sample sizes too, which is great for testing flavors.

Drip tips go on the end of cartomizers. I use them on Boge 510s, but mostly I vape with Ego Vision tanks, which I like a lot, and they come with their own tip that seals onto the tank. I think clearomizers are very similar to Ego Vision tanks...

You can drip juice directly onto a cartomizer through a drip tip, though I take mine off and put the juice directly onto the white filler material when I use cartomizers.

Hope this helps!

I believe it's an 808 threading so if you wanted to use 510 threaded accessories you could purchase an 808- 501 adapter, less than $3.00.

Many thanks for that - makes perfect sense now - can I use drip tips in any carto? the ones from Jac Vapour for instance? Also, do you know if my vGo is the standard 510 size, so that I can fit different parts if needed? I assumed it was an eGo with a different name!

Cheers
