Welcome , sounds like it may have had some residual "test juice" still on it . You need to disassemble , and soak it in some vodka , for a few hours , then blow out the excess liguid . let dry a bit , and maybe do a quick dry burn ( not too long ) to get rid of that oily taste . You didn't mention , whether it was a silica , or SS mesh type . So really hard to say , until we know alittle more .
