After reading until my brain is dead I see many atty probs with this unit. Or perhaps they just don't last long. (have not received mine yet) So I,m wondering how many I should have on hand, batts too? Want to get off analogs and don't want to get caught in a bind.
Also, do the Volcano magnum batteries and attys fit the 510?
Thanks, again.

I'm a pretty heavy vaper... I have 3 510 batts (One is 510 mega), 8 atomizers (three in use), and a USB passthrough.

I'm ordering an Ego next week. Just to sort of top off vaping capacity. Then I'm done.

I could do without the Ego- but I just want it.

I've been using 3 attys in rotation for almost 3 months. I suspect that there are occasional bad manufacturing batches, and some brands likely last longer than others. There are also the low-resistance models, and then some people use higher voltages than the std. 510 battery, which can reduce longevity.

As long as you're using Joye attys, I wouldn't be too concerned just yet. Other folks will have to comment on the other mfrs. Of course, having spares is always a good idea too. I just ordered a couple more, just in case.

I had rotated the same 2 for a month, until I gave them away to a relative, and started using cartomizers. they are still going strong.

They are not inherently weak, but are a wear part, and must be replaced from time to time. MANY people that are burning them up are using High Voltage, or Low Resistance, which both shorten the life.

If you rotate 2 keep 2 spare, or like COZZI said, get a box of 5 and be set for months.

Agreed. I've NEVER had a problem with 510 atties. Some have lasted me for MONTHS. BUT, always, always ALWAYS keep at least TWO for spares and make sure they're Joye atties.

As for the rumors about LR atties not lasting as long, PROBABLY true, but I've been using the same 5, in rotation, for 2.5 months now on my Ego's.
