I got my Riva 901 about 2 weeks ago and started with the attys, gave up on those, just didn't last long enough and was constantly adding juice. Tried dripping for a bit, same thing. Now I have moved to cartomizers, the 901's from Ikenvape. These last a little longer, but not much it seems, before I start having to constantly start topping off to keep going, finally get tired of messing with it and go have a smoke. I guess I'm a heavy vapor, always tugging on it, can't seem to get satisfied. Probably should up my nic strength and see if I can get to a better strength for me. But my main frustration is the constantly having to add liquid. Maybe not enough info here to go by, but if you have any suggestions, or soloutions, from similar experiences you have had, I sure would like to hear them. Thanks.

Hi. I think there's a few solutions to the "constantly adding liquid" problem. Cartomizers are generally a lot better on this point than a traditional cartridge/atty combination, but if they are not doing it for you then a couple of things spring to mind.

First (and cheapest) is one of the various tank mods that are available. I recently got a MAP tank which holds just over 5ml of juice. I am not a light vaper but far less than some, so for me one fill of this lasts 2 days of use. It vapes very well and has been largely trouble free.

Next could be one of the top feeder mods, a prime example being the Super T Vapemate. This is an add on for 510/901 atty's and can work with whatever device you have.

The last is one of the "bottom feeder" juice feeder mods. For example the Reo, Ali'i, Phidias etc. Also devices like the GGTS with UFS attachment which is an elaborate "tank" system for using with regular atomizers. These are a bit more of an investment up front (a lot more in the case of the GGTS/UFS!), but maybe what you need.

Perhaps though before looking at any of these possible solutions you should try higher nicotine e-liquid. I don't vape 36mg strength any more as a rule (I did to start off with quite frequently), but I do have a bottle or two which I can use if I feel I really need it. Dripped in a low resistance atty this gives a monster throat hit, and sometimes if nothing else is "hitting the spot" it can be good. But do be careful with high strength liquids, and stop if you get any sort of headache or other side effects.

You are frustrated with cartridges ... as are we all. I haven't used them for 1 1/2 years. Most of my vaping is done by dripping (3-4 drops directly on the atomizer bridge, i.e., into the tube). Frequent, albeit easy, effort, which I've always thought of as analogous to lighting up a cigarette.

My other vaping is with cartomizers. Prefilled ones are effortless and refilling cartos can be quite easy using Doggsbody's carto cap (aka condom) technique, e.g., as demonstrated by Doctor Vapor. My favorite cartomizers are Bloog's MaxX Fusion Kr8-compatible ones. They may or may not work directly on your Riva-901 batteries, but certainly will work with a $1 901batt-to-808carto adapter from Good Prophets.

Similarly some of the 510-based tanks Papa mentioned might be able to be used on your batts with GP's 808/901batt-to-510atom adapter. [BTW, not all tanks are as clunky looking as those huge MAP tanks.:D]

For increased TH you may not need to increase your nicotine level. A lower resistance atomizer or cartomizer (or tank) might do the trick. Personally, since nicotine is a poisonous drug, I like to consume as little as necessary to stave off my cravings.]
