Ok.... I am pulling the trigger but first I feel the need to ask the pros.

OK, OK, OK, I have read all the great things about the Reo and I am sold. I won some mad money from the local casino and am going to buy a Reo Grande LP. I am new to vaping in the sense that I have only used a MVP 2 for about a year now and one companies juice. So this is redundant I know but please indulge my newbieness for a moment. I have read other threads asking the same question but I am still unsure exactly what I should buy with my Reo. I have never squanked, twerked, or squinked before. Obviously never used batteries. Do I need to order some lower nicotine juice? Am I going to die from vaping euphoria? Or am I going to make a mess of it all? Ok so I am uncertain but still buying one. I will keep reading on but any information you are willing to provide or a link, anything would be appreciated.

Thanks!

My recommendations:

LP REO Grand
LP REOmizer

both from reosmods.com

rtdvapor.com for some AW IMR 1600mah batteries or Sony VTC5 batteries, and a battery charger.

Kanthal A-1 wire, I use 28 gauge, depends on your preference (got 100ft on eBay for $7 free shipping)
Wicking material - I got organic cotton at Walgreens

that's what you *need*. Also recommend from reosmods some extra screws, o-rings, some extra bottles if you like to swap juices a lot, a repair kit, oh you know...just cheap tiny things that can be on hand if they ever need to be replaced :)

congrats!!

edit - you can use your MVP to check the ohms of your coil, so no need to buy an ohm checker. However it is advisable to buy a multimeter to check battery voltage. The REO will not tell you when the battery needs changing and shut down like an MVP will (you'll likely notice the diminishing vape quality and swap batteries anyway, but it's nice to know where they're at)

1) Buy an atty - the RM2 is the easiest and best to start with. You will want the LP RM2.

2) Good batteries and a good charger. Depends on what you think you'll build your coils to be, but if WW3 starts and you have tons of cash, get Sony VTC5's and you're golden.

3) Add some bits and bob you hope you'll not need. Spare springs, a few spare RM2 screws, o-rings etc.

Now you have a chance at vaping euphoria!

just because it confused me when buying my first REO, I want to clarify that the LP RM2 shows up as "LP Reomizer" on the website. that's the LP RM2 which most people are likely gonna recommend along with supertrunker and I, OP - pull the trigger my friend! :D

I would suggest ordering

Extra spring
Some wire of different gauges 28 and 30 (see what you like and order that size in bulk)
Extra screws for the Reomizer (they are very small and easy to loose)
Lp Reomizer 2.0 (best atty going for the Reo
AW 18650 1600 mah Batteries (at leaast 2 of them)
Cotton or other wicking material of your choice.

That should be enough to get you started. Lower nic level juice is a good idea but not necessary.

As for Juice? ...try out Heather's Heavenly Vapes.

Be sure to try out Shadow, Legend, Dragon's Fire, Blueberry Muffin, Georgia Peach Tobacco, Vanilla Dream, and etc. They make some Naturally Extracted Tobacco juices, and many others as well. Very affordable, and very damn good. Shadow and Dragon's Fire are my favorites.

I agree with what everyone else said, and I congratulation the OP for his decision!
Here are some things that are very helpfull to have handy when wrapping a coil:

-Drill bit set and/or precision screwdriver kit for wrapping coils around and the screwdrivers for tightening/loosening screws :D
-needle nose pliers (I like to use 2 sets and stretch out my kanthal to straighten it out before wrapping) ;)
-nail clippers/wire cutters/scissors...something to cut your kanthal/cotton/wicking material
-pick set (not necessary put very usefull in my experience for tucking the wicking your cotton/ect.. underneath/around coil)

I'm not a pro, but all of the things I mentioned above have made my coil building experience painless.

Hi

About the nic question: Most people lower their nic level if they change form the likes of a BCC clearo to a Reomizer - or any other rebuilldable atty. Simply for the fact that your Reomizer is going to pump out a lot more vapor than before. More vapor means exposure to a lot more of what's in all that vapor. So you either need to slow your roll and vape less, or cut the nic level in your current liquids.

Fortunately this isn't a problem. Along with that more vapor production you also get more flavor. In most cases you can cut your existing liquids with some 0 mg unflavored liquid and not miss anything in flavor in the process. The easiest way to do that is to pick up some VG from a drug store. You may have to ask for 'glycerin' at the pharmacy counter to find it. For example, CVS on-line says their VG should be in the cough and cold section, but it's not always located in that aisle in the store.

If you need help with the maths to drop your nic level by adding 0 mg VG visit us in the DIY forum: DIY E-Liquid

Congratulations on all the money and time you've saved by not having to buy truckloads of useless mods, tanks, and misc equipment prior to your arrival in Reoville.

As others have suggested the RM2 is not only a great atty it's perfect for beginner to advanced. I like the ceramic deck as a safety shield against shorts. Speaking of shorts, I didn't understand the necessity of having an extra spring on hand. I haven't needed one yet but good to have on hand.

Also, while it"s not a necessity, a coil wrapping jig will help if you've never wrapped a coil before. I finally got one a few weeks ago and it makes it all so much easier.
Tobeco Coil Jig helps you make perfect coils for any Rebuildable Atomizer

Welcome!

and on nic - for me, I dropped from 18mg to 12mg for the most part but still use my 18mg too, like today. I do see what people mean though about needing to drop - better nicotine delivery, better flavor, better everything = too much nicotine too easily. just stepping it down a notch enables me to vape like a fiend, while staying at 18 allows me to vape less for the nic fix :)
