Wow, drip atomizers (if this is the proper term) are wonderful. I didn't think I'd want one until I got one and actually tried it. The flavor really does come through. Compared to my vivi novas, there really is no comparison.

Avoiding starting a new thread, I'll just ask a couple questions here, if I may. Accompanied with a Provari, are 510 atomizers the only kind that can be used? This one that I have now is a 510 joyetech. It's silver and almost as long as a cartomizer. As of now, and I just got it today, it works perfectly. I'm pleasantly surprised with the vape I'm getting from it. If I put more than 3 or 4 drops into it, it will leak. Of course, this was expected. The drip tips I have are not small, but I don't drip into them because the drops of liquid just don't seem to be able to make down to the bottom of the atomizer. Instead, I remove the tip and drip directly onto the little hump in the middle of it.

Are there better dripping atomizers that would fit the Provari? I'm also looking for a decent drip shield, but it seems that everything needs an adaptor to fit a 510 atomizer. This kinda leads me to believe that the 510s aren't widely used as dripping atomizers?

Drip shields were created for 901 atomizers because they have a hole on the side.
They will leak through that hole if overfilled, and the drip shield holds that leakage in and even lets it be reused.

The 510 atomizers do not have a hole on the side, and tend to leak through the bottom when overfilled.

That is why an extension of some kind is needed for a drip shield to work with a 510 atomizer.
The drip shield has to rest below the place where the leaking will happen, or it is nothing more than decoration.

Ok..If it was mentioned, I missed it in the 10 pages. :) I just got my very first 501 dripping atty. I understand the leaking is due to my over filling, got that part down, and now know how to clean my atty, thank you. What I was wondering is ...after dripping/vaping should the atty be warm? And when you take the drip tip off to refill, is it normal to see vapor in there? I'm really liking this dripping thing to test juices that have been steeping. They were horrible in a 'recycled' prefilled carto that I took the stuffing out of and attempted dripping. In an actual dripping atty the juices are like a whole different world...of good!
