I was dumb. I didn't drink my water. I'm only a little over a week into this. I set the analogs down and took to vaping. But I didn't drink my water. And I have been paying for it horribly the last two days. Has the dry throat made anybody else throw up though? It's not helping my battle any!
So this is what happens....
Usually during the day I'm fine. But then I go home and I power vape (and drink soda because I've had water all day smh) and then I go to bed and can feel the dry sticky throat, next thing I know I'm running to the bathroom! I've packed up gatorade and water for work today but I feel downright awful. I even have those halls refresh that are supposed to hydrate dry scratchy throats but so far I'm only turning my stomach more :/ I really don't want to pick up an analog but I can't vape without gagging right now! Any advice for the noob fail????

Honestly, vaping has made me quit drinking any pop except an occasional when we eat out (not often). I drink a ton of water, and still feel thirsty or dry mouthed sometimes. I wonder if the throwing up is actually related though, or if you've caught a bug that isn't helping anything? Or maybe it's the taste of dry mouth that is making you nauseous? Seriously, it may be a pain but try cutting out the soda all together for a couple days and see if it makes a difference. No more Halls either, loaded with sugar and not helping. Also try Biotene mouth wash just before bed (helps cut dry mouth) as it will cut the funny taste that might be making you sick

I have a 60/40 ratio, any hire and I breakout in hives. I've had nausea that last two days, only started throwing up last night. It's *possible* it could be flu as my father was told he has that yesterday and I was with him day before. But flu to my knowledge doesn't generally cause vomiting in adults. But I may be wrong.

The name CowBooger made me laugh really hard. Thanks for that. I'm going to guess the issues aren't related to vaping...the throwing up part, anyway. Perhaps a stomach bug. The sticky dry throat wants more water...but you already knew that.

Lol thanks :) I made it when I was 16, I was obsessed with cows and I wanted a screen name that wasn't going to be common, it's just kind of been my screen name for everything now haha

The first week after I started vaping. I got sick as a dog and was in bed for almost 2 weeks with the flu. I think it had something to do with quitting smoking. I smoked 48 years and since I got over that I have not had so much as a cold in the last 2 years. Hope you feel better soon and stick with the vaping. Like the commercial says this stuff really works!

Flu doesn't cause vomiting in adults? Who told ya that?

Seriously - you just might be sick. It's winter. It happens a lot. You might be the third post in the last two days searching for a connection between vaping and... just being sick. We go through this on ECF every year.

But I'm a little more interested in your mention that if you go any higher than 60/40 you break out in hives. Bubbie - that's an allergic reaction, most likely to PG. I'm allergic to PG and one of the reactions I had to 100 PG liquids on day one when I started my vaping career was chronic nausea - among other things. Four days of vaping a 100 PG liquid and that chronic nausea turned from nausea to vomiting within 12 drags off my e-cig that day - along with intense random bouts of itching on my forearms and hands, and difficulty breathing. Like I was breathing through wet cheesecloth. No hives in my case, but itching, vomiting and difficulty breathing was plenty enough thank youse. When I picked up vaping again a few days later - after the "scared the crap outta me" settled down - with a 100 VG liquid - zero problems.

I think you should seriously consider a 100 VG liquid to see if even that 60 PG is the source of the problem here. You may need to eventually back your PG ratio down to as low as 20% if you have a PG allergy problem. Check in at FL Lori's blog to read some about PG allergy: E-Cigarette Forum - FL Lori - Blogs

Are you using more than one flavor? If so, does one particular flavor seem to be the cause?

You said that high PG(?) makes you break out in hives, I'm wondering if even with the lower PG you are still having an internal allergic reaction. You could try an even lower pg liquid and see if that helps.

Here are the possibilities that are going through my head:

1. Unrelated illness that is being exacerbated by the vaping.
2. Bad reaction to a particular flavor or combination of flavors.
3. PG allergy that at low levels of PG is not producing visible external symptoms (hives) but is causing some sort of internal reaction.

I see Rick and I are on the same page...

It's very possible. I have some 100% vg coming in so I will try and see if it helps. But I figure I brush my teeth every day and it has pg in it I didn't think I'd have to eliminate it. :/ I'm still a little confused with all this. Like I said it could very well be the flu, but it seems like the only time I'm nauseous is when my throat and mouth are really dry

My 2cents:
Drink more water and probably less pop too...
Try the 100% vg.
See your doctor.

I agree could be any one or a combination of things.
At the same time it's not just nicotine in cigarettes that is addictive, so your going to have some withdrawal symptoms, but this sounds too extreme for that... But I'm no doctor!
