Anyone find they are drinking more beer or cocktails since they started vaping?

No I enjoy a good wine. But I never have any in the house since a whole bottle would go vinegar before I finished it. :)

<- went to a serious British Style boarding School for High School. I got heartily sick of the the dining etiquette before I turned 16!

You should maybe start a post about wine with vapes if you have a good knowledge. Seriously!! All kidding aside, I love a good wine. I've seen a few people post on here about what beer to drink with what vape, but I don't recall one about wine. Personally, I like big, bold reds. I do enjoy trying the Beaujolais Nouveau every year just to see how the harvest turned out (not too good the past few years). But it seams like you're pretty active on here (with 1500+ posts!), so do us a favor and make a blog out of it!!!

I haven't increased my beer intake since i started vaping last January. But I've always been a craft beer kind of guy. A lot of the time when I'm at a liquor store I'll pick up a 6 pack of something I've never had before.

One thing I've noticed is i can really taste it now. I could taste it as a smoker too, but my sense of taste is 100 times better now. It makes drinking new beers so much better.

I have a thread in the Lounge about pairing gourmet cocktails with vaping - there will be posts there on beer and wine as well :)

I don't understand...

I have not increased my drinking due to vaping.
In fact, it is somewhat the opposite in that I now only vape because I still drink.

When I drink I will either smoke or vape.
This is the way of things in my world, and always will be.

Since I vape, I no longer smoke for the most part.
But if I couldn't vape, I would have to go back to smoking.

And if I stopped drinking, I wouldn't have to do either at this point.
But I'm not planning on stopping drinking anymore than I'm planning on stopping eating.

For reference purposes, I live 20 minutes from Stone Brewery, as well as a number of other fantastic breweries.

All things in moderation.
:)

Funny, I did not put 2 and 2 together 'till I saw this.
I'm a vodka man my self (keeps me strong like bull!) and rarely drink just water. I do drink a lot of water based stuff (coffee, tea, lemonade etc.) due to the fact that I have had kidney stones many times. The Dr. Told me if I can't/won't e drink enough water, at least drink water based. I asked him about beer: " Any thing that you drink enough of to get you urinating regularly, and produce clear urine, is good" so when I start feeling more dehydrated than usual I start drinking beer :D
The last month or so, I have been drinking a lot more beer than normal LOL! Never occurred to me that it might be the vape that was dehydrating me more than normal :p

I have only noticed an uptick in my alcohol consumption when I'm at a party or bar. I drink a ton more water than before, I went from drinking almost no water to 2L/day.

I have also noticed that I'm drinking a lot less milk, I used to polish off a gallon of milk per day but now with all the water drinking I have had this same gallon for almost 3 days... I still drink milk with food though. Its odd I guess the constant dry mouth water just seems like the better choice.

I'm thinking of getting a water filter on my faucet soon. I guess an increased liquid consumption isn't a bad side effect, especially compared to you know cancer and stuff

The only difference between me and an alcoholic is that I can still currently justify my reasons for drinking heavily.

That said... I actually drink less when I vape heavily. And since my juices won't be here for a few days... I'm drinking heavily tonight.... and I'm thinking we need a drinking thread in the Outside
