Trying to get ready to take my son to the park. we've been having a rough go of it lately and wanted to do something nice for him...but as usual he's himming and hawing and arguing about everything.

I stopped to clean the litter box and just as I scoop I hear a loud crash and a wiff of sweet smells hit me...the :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: cat jumped up onto the very high shelf I had all of my equipment and 12 open, steeping bottles of juice...it's all gone  I only managed to save a few drops of a few flavors. The rest is seeping into the carpet.

UNCLE! Uncle I give!

ps...yes I soaked up as much of the juice as I could and put a towel & rug over the area to keep the cats...one with a very sweet tooth, away from them.

pss...no I didn't kill the cat...yet

psss...now my son is even more ...... at mommy cause she cursed out his cat

Uncle I said! Off to the park:facepalm:

OH NO!!!!!! I sent you juice today and would have delivered it personally today had I known this! Hang on Amy! Do not give up! You will have juice in the mail tomorrow!

oh and I have always wanted to try absinthe...did you make more?
Not yet, since I've been on a DIY juice binge and need to use all of my stock up before I make more. If I begin vaping heavily, that should be right around March of 2027.

To make the original, I used the flavoring from (I think) Perfumer's Apprentice, at 20% of the total mix. I like it stout! ;-)

Amy, so sorry you are having this kind of day!! We have lots in common: I'm a nurse, with cats, with kids (older than yours), and a vaper!! I love my furry little beasts (talking cats here) but they can wreak havoc, for sure!! I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!
ps. LOVE your avatar!

Sad that the nursing population has such high numbers of smokers...or now no smoking vapor's, which is a good thing!
Yep, 3 cats. 2 grumpy old men and my sons batt-.... insane kitty (10months) she's a wild one that girl!
and I see we're in neighboring states too!
Tomorrow has to be better!...right?
I know don't you love that pic! I found it and it just fit exactly how I'm feeling right now LOL hope to upgrade it to a happier picture soon!

That's the reason I have a dog instead of a cat.

Oh wait, that's only one of many reasons I have a dog instead of a cat.
:)

well despite today's little mishap I still live by the Cat's rule, dogs drool greed, but to each their own ;)
And this offense was made by my son's 10monthish old kitty who's wild as a buck! seriously of all the many cats I've had in my life none have been as high energy dare devils as she is! my two grumpy old men would have never even tried the acrobatics it took for this disaster.

are you stalking me ;) well it will get better for the family when husband gets home and I hand the son over to him and go crawl in the bed...I think I'm still withdrawing cause I'm just at the verge of murdering somebody today.

Not likely, sweetie. I'm 67 years old with sons older than you. :)

I feel for you. I have a very beautiful kitty - most beautiful cat I've seen. Problem is the poor thing got all beauty and no brains. I swear a box of rocks is likely smarter. She loves to chew wires (she got 120 to the mouth when she chewed through the Christmas tree lights last Christmas, but didn't faze her). She chewed through my 808 passthru only days after I got it. This time, when I got my new eGo PT, I thought I had it out of her reach. I went to the bathroom and seconds later I heard it hit the floor. I rushed out of the bathroom, pants still at my ankles to find my brand new PT, not even 4 hours since I got it out of my mailbox, in 2 pieces (I guess better than the 3+ pieces I found my 808 PT in...). I was LIVID to say the least. I wanted that kitty in 2 pieces like she put my PT in. Kitties can be so cute - then they can be so

Oh, Amy, I hope your day got better! Hopefully today will be a much better day for you! I'm a nurse, too, and I also love your avatar! I've been feeling that way all day myself! I don't have a kitty to blame, just a disorganized staffing scheduler who can't remember to schedule anyone! Ohhhhh, she better schedule me for next week soon! How can I pay for my vaping supplies without money? LOL

P.S. I don't steep with the tops off, even though I don't currently have a cat. I'm guessing it will be very necessary to leave those suckers on when we do get a cat (supposedly soon). You might want to try to get your son to trade the cat in for a dog, though. LOL

Well I hope that you are not insinuating 67 is old, please! my Dad would have been 62 this past January, my mother is barely 16 years older than me, and I'm in my late 30's...wait did I just say that? No I mean I'm in my late 20's, yes, that's what I meant ;)

at any rate, I miss my Dad (lost him very quickly to liver cancer just 2 years ago) so have no problem with a man of your caliber keeping an eye out for my well being! Thank you!

With you 100% on that!!

In the OP's situation, I'd be busy composing an explanation to my child about how the cat ran away...

If my child didn't have a form of Autism and love that cat more than he loves me I just might have done such a thing...instead I had that dang cat in my face and my sons knees in my ribs all night b/c neither can or will sleep without me...I can't win ;)

oh heavens you do have my sympathies...you've got two of our cats rolled up into one! The offender here is my sons BEAUTIFUL kitty with no brains, my (old) baby boy is the one who chews stuff...especially Christmas lights and anything plastic he can get a hold of. And if I dare to leave a plastic shopping bag around he'll eat that too! why do we put up with so much from them? ahhhhh because if my Churchie wasn't nestled against my stomach at night I wouldn't be able to sleep!

Thanks I've gotten a lot of compliments on the avatar...totally fits how I've been feeling lately!

yeah I hope you get work soon. I do private duty with a staffing company and I wish they would stop calling me. I have only worked with one family for 7 years and he's like my own child. I don't work for anyone else b/c I don't have anymore time. I home school my Autistic son during the week so weekends are all I can manage to do. It's hubby's new job paying for my new vaping needs ;)

I learned my lesson, sons kitty can get on any surface in the house...no more steeping with the lids off EVER! Nope, no dogs in my house (I have PTSD from living with my mother and her hoard of 10+ dogs) I'll just deal with the kitties!

Actually, have you considered placing your juice in something, rather than on something, for steeping? For instance, I've been keeping mine on the pull-out keyboard tray (where I don't use that keyboard much), but any desk drawer or kitchen drawer or cabinet should be fine, and the reduction in airflow would be trivial.

I actually did have theme all nestled in a wooden box bigger than them with paper stuffed in to keep them stable and the box was mostly closed just vented open. Kitty was apparently chasing a car reflection across the living room and jumped to all new heights to get on the shelf where they were...but I've learned my lesson for sure!
