DIY seems to be the least expensive way to keep up my "habit" hahaha.

so im going to order some VG (90% with 10% H2O) from liberty flights. i have decided that if i want an everyday vape, its always just going to come down to menthol. straight menthol.

as of now, im going to try mixing with no nicotine. so it will just be straight vg and flavor. there are two types of mint flavors from flavourart. peppermint and spearmint. im assuming the peppermint would be the closest to an altoids as i can get, right?

so if i mix up just those two, will that be all i need? or do i need to add anything extra to it?

You might want to add a sweetener. Peppermint would be like altoids (red can). Spearmint would be like Altoids (green can). I use EZ-Sweetz or EM as sweeteners. If you google EZ-Sweets and go to the companies web page they will send you some for free. The web page is around here somewhere, maybe Nikhil's Guide to DIY flavoring at the top of the page. I got my EM crystals from Perfumer's Apprentice. You can get it there as crystal or as "Cotton Candy" flavor.

ok so i got my stuff and right away tried my hand at mixing. i actually ordered some 24mg nic VG too. so i did a 50/50 mix of the nic VG and the straight VG and then put some of the peppermint flavoring... excellent. i can definitely see how this is going to be saving me a bunch of money in the long run... with the power to adjust the flavoring to my taste. dont know why i was so scared to try it in the first place!

DIY isn't that bad, especially simpler mixes. I use PA peppermint, at about 20%, with no sweeteners -- I like it :)
For menthol, you just order menthol crystals -- PA, Bluemist, others sell them, they're quite cheap. If you're doing mainly VG liquids, you might want to do a search on "dissolve" and "Menthol crystals" to see what people do to make them easier to work with. I believe that a fairly typical approach is to dissolve them in a container with PGA or high proof vodka, get a really high concentration flavoring that's easier to work with than the dry crystals.

Yay!! Glad you loved your first concoction:) It is SO cheap to make your own. I figured it out and it costs me 27 cents a day in liquids- isn't that awesome?!
