I agree. JV is one of my favorite vendors, but I usually stick to the juices I've already tried since it's hard to tell what you'll be getting. In their defense, they do claim to have something like 800 flavors...kind of hard to keep up with that many. But your question occurs to me every time I visit their site too. They'd probably increase sales if they posted more than just a generic picture and a name for their products. Email Brad and Anthony and let them know...who knows, maybe they'll work on improving the site.

I'm pretty new and have been getting either sample sizes or sampler packs from several vendors. I have gone to the JV site, and was put off not only by lack of descriptions, but lack of specification info on their products. What does reduced PG mean anyway? I mean, I can reduce PG by 1% or 99% or anything in between. Also, the "may contain" disclaimer lists alcohol in most of their items. I found alcohol based flavorings harsh on my throat, and I can't tell if one of their flavors may or does contain alcohol.

I mean, I do like to gamble, but I prefer to gamble where I can at least calculate the odds.

While they do have some interesting looking things on their site, I can't bring myself to order anything from there when there are so many other vendors who do give out better info and specs on their products.

Website is really nice....pics are awesome.....have never heard anything about their juice??

Yes, beautiful site, very professional.

And they have sample packs, 5 flavors , 3 mils each for $10! For that price, I'm more than willing to try a few samplers.

None of the sample packs are available :(

Check out Ahlusion's website...they've put some time into theirs

Some interesting/intriguing flavors on that site, and i agree, they seem to have a good cohesive website. I will probably have to try them. Plus looks like nice bottling, which in reality doesnt affect the product much, but it does show they put in the extra effort. Thanks for the suggestion, had never heard of them before.

Yeah, i need some samples from there, and 9-10$ for a 10ml bottle is not really a sample at that price.

Ahlusion's brick and mortar store (set to open soon I guess) will be about 15 miles from my house, in Swartz Creek MI. I hope their juice is as good as promised on their website because I and a couple of friends will definitely become regular customers! :)

I agree about website presentation and comprehensive descriptions of juices. The bar has already been set quite high by some of the good, established vendors. If I see a poorly-designed site with scant information - and I have - I'll most likely pass on ordering. As pointed out, it's a crapshoot ordering new juices no matter where; I want to increase my odds of getting something I really like.

The award for the most entertaining juice descriptions online has to go to DKS E Liquid.

Part poetry and (most definitely) translated from Italian, the mind just has to boggle. Here is one of my favourites:

"What is insight? A somersault while sitting, a line of a poem you don’t yet know, a journey. Insight is the extract of the plant that they said grew on king Solomon’s tomb. A plant with mystic and controversial qualities. The smell of this e-liquid is pungent and penetrating and cannot be put into words. ..."

The Award for the least helpful juice descriptions (English as a first language) goes to RAWR. They obviously can make a great juice, but being able to tell what the main flavours in a juice are, is impossible from reading the descriptions (or the names for that matter).

This is most definitely where good independent juice reviews come in handy. I have found reviews on the websites themselves not helpful. My 'experience' with retailer website-rated 5 star juices has been scary. More proof if needed that taste is subjective.

As for webpage design- an over designed site is as bad as the 'kiddy designed' style. One website with so many graphics that my head hurts comes to mind. The same site kindly does not sort juice stock by flavour type making you trawl endlessly until you are *sure* you have seen the same item (or maybe the same page) multiple times

All part of the travails of vaping I guess!

Love to All

I just placed my 4th order from them. Doesn't sound like much till you consider I just found out about them last month. IMO, Ahlusions Tobacco Blends are some of the best out there. If you only try one of theirs, I highly recommend getting Smooth Criminal. I'd buy 120ml bottles of that if they sold them. Their House Blend Tobacco is pretty good as well - has a little more bite to it than S.C., more like a Latakia tobacco.
One other thing to note about Ahlusions - they will customize almost anything to customer specs. Their site already has drop down menus for several items: w/ or w/out sweetener, dark or light roast (for coffee flavors), various mint/menthol levels, etc. And if it's not an option, just drop a note on the order and Wlad will do his best to customize it.

Yeah, that kind of sucks. I asked why and was told that since nothing is pre-mixed, it takes the same amount of time to make a 3ml sample as it does a 60ml bottle; so they've put them on hold for now. They will, however, mix a sample of any juice to include with an order if you ask for it in the notes.

**EDIT** Looks like Wlad put the samplers back up on the site. I checked the tobacco, fruit, and tea samplers just now and all were available.

I'm trying not to sound too much like a fanboi for them lol, but they've impressed me enough to want to spread the word. The packaging goes like this: Blue glass bottles, each bottle is capped and shrink wrapped, the eye droppers and sent in a separate bag-not in the bottle, each bottle is then shrink wrapped in bubble wrap, then sent in a cardboard box, not a bag or envelope. They do put in the extra effort...after each order, you'll get a follow up email asking for any feedback and offering a discount code for another order. Pretty well thought out business they've got going IMO. They're not as big as some other vendors, but maybe thats a good thing.

Had a couple emails back and forth with the vendor the other day. He doesnt offer samples anymore because.... basically its to much work for little profit. I dunno... Most vendors seem to have smaller ~4ml bottles of a base 80/20 @ 12mg nic of their flavors. Gives a good representation of what your buying, even if you mix it differently, at least the flavor will be close. My main vendor sells samples like that for $3.50, so i end up ordering 10 or so at a time, then larger bottles of the ones i like.

Im not spending ~$10 for a flavor i may hate. So even though some of those flavors look good, theres just no way i will let myself do that. Also, i can afford it, but it just seems pointless when others offer samples.

I just went to the site and you still can't order any of the samplers. In fact, I can't seem to be able to add anything to my cart. Whatever I look at only has the option to add to wish list, even though the item says it ships in 24 hours.

Makes me wonder what use there is in having a beautiful site that doesn't let you order anything ;).

ETA: Looks like you can order stuff again, but sample packs are still unavailable.

Juicy Vapor USED to have reviews on some juices, I had even submitted some reviews myself on some of their juices right on their site, but they changed or upgraded the site and the reviews appear to be gone now. Hopefully they will start having reviews again, I really like to read customer reviews along with vendor descriptions when I am buying juice, so I can understand the OP's frustration. There is SO many to choose from too from Juicy Vapor and that makes it even harder. Sometimes I google JV flavors to see if anyone mentioned them and had a comment on a certain flavor. Word of mouth and sampling from other people's JV bottles, especially at the local meets I go to, have helped me to find some flavors of theirs I like. I recently ordered Pink Grapefruit (because I liked their hunger games flavor Mocking Jay but would rather have that flavor without the lychee, didn't like the lychee BUT did like the pink grapefruit taste), Wake N Vape (already a fav of mine, it's a coffee vape, I think coffee, hazelnut, tobacco, maybe a few other thigns mixed in there), Holy Moly Tea (LOVE this flavor, like tea with honey to me) and Artic Berry, which was a flavor I had a looong time ago and really liked, it's berry flavors with koolada. Then at the meet I sampled some of their newest flavors from their table and took home with me Island Vaping and Green Tea with Lemon Grass. Another all-time fav of mine from Juicy Vapor is Dragon's Blood - mostly strawberry to me with cherry and perhaps another berry in there as well. They really do have some very tasty juice, and it's good quality stuff too....another idea for you....if you are thinking of making an order, post here on ECF what flavors you are interested in and get feedback that way in a thread...
