Oh crap Eventus, I forgot to add that I use between 5-8mL of liquid per day, and typically get between 7-10 days from a carto at 5.4v. So I guess I average between 35-80mL of liquid through a single carto before I replace it with a new one. Now keep in mind that i am somewat OCD about keeping my cartos wet, and no I dont use a tank, its all done from the dripper bottle or me. Hope that helps.

CJB,

Thank you so much for the informative video. This is your 1st vaping video? Holy Cow you're a natural! Many more to come, I hope. Put this up on YouTube, start a channel.

I like this tank. It's good looking, too. One of the reasons I gave my regular DCT tank up was because of hand arthritis, putting on those end caps with grommets wwas just awfully painful..... but this one has end caps that I don't have to try to pull off and on.

why won't it work on a provari? somebody said that somewhere.

I may have a problem though, like yzer, I'm pretty much a high VG vaporer.

Clearos and vivi nova mute flavor so it's the worst for me, Cartos are better at least, bottom feeder the best so far for high VG I think, JMHO.

One factor missing from these post is the voltage Eventus was using on the 3.0 ohm carto. It matters.

I use cartos alone, with no tank. I also use a very high concentration VG juice and run 3.7 V. It's 98% VG thinned with a few drops of distilled water (2% H2O). This juice is thick. Sometimes it will just bead up and sit on top of the filler of a brand new carto. When that happens I do the first filling with a hypo. Once the carto has been saturated the first time filling the carto again is easy and fast. The thick juice will sink right into the carto filler.

Once you burn a carto they will never taste right again. Just toss it. Cartos burn when they are run too dry.

How dry do you run a carto before it burns? Depends on the voltage used and the resistance of the carto. I use Smoktech single coil LR XL cartos at 3.7 V. These hold at least 1.8 ml of juice. I never vape a 2.0 ohm carto to 50% fluid capacity. That means I never add more than 25 drops of liquid with a refill. The 1.7 ohm cartos are even easier to burn. I never vape those down past 2/3 capacity. These cartos run hot so a safe refill is 15 to 18 drops of liquid.

I get a week or about 15 ml out my cartos before changing them out.

Using a tank on a carto extends the life of the carto by keeping the filler saturated all of the time.

ok i c, what is a hypo though im not sure on that, i have the same beading problem when filling for the first time usually i flick it down like you would and old mercury type thermometer.

Blue Mist's VG juices are thin enough to wick fine in a Vivi Nova. You could also let the VG based sit out open for a while if there is any humidity it should absorb its own water over time, or just add a few drops of distilled water. Just some thoughts, if you want to try leaning on the Vivi again.

It's a hypodermic syringe. You can use sharp tip or blunt tip. Insert the needle between the outside edge of the filler and the inside of the carto tube. I usually insert the needle to the base of the carto and move it up slowly as the plunger is depressed. Let the carto sit ten minutes then drip a few more drops to make sure excess juice drips from the base. If it does, the carto is filled.

It seems that only a small percentage of my cartos need the hypo. That could be because of differences in the way the carto filler is packed. I'll try flicking next time and see if that works, too. A hypo is just another thing I have to wash out when done.

Haha, glad you liked the vid. Hope you found it helpful. Ya thats one thing I like about the UDCT tank, no caps to mess with. However I dont take the caps of my big daddy tank either. You dont really need to remove caps to fill.
The tank can have issues with Provari or Telescope mods because it sits flat on them and can resitrict air flow. I use the telescope and just back the threading off just a slight turn, and air passes fine. Not an issue for me.
I agree with you on the Vivi - I didnt like it at all.
VG mixes can work with cartos, you just have to figure out a system that works for you. For one, Id go with a 3 hole carto to help with wicking, or punch your own holes. And thinning a VG mix down will help also. I like PG in my mixes so no issues for me there. I usually do 60/40 PG/VG. I also mix a lot of my own juices, so that helps give flexibility to fit your setup.

Voltage is 4.8 on an ego twist and yeah thinning it with destiled water sounds good can anyone chime in on what that does to the flavor?

It will slightly decrease the flavor. Pure grain alcohol or high proof vodka will work pretty well in thinning vg down but it will add some throat hit.

Make sure you keep your carto's topped off, I always popped the cap off and fill it up before a vape session. Looks like that one went dry to me.

FYI, a carto can last up to 2 months(maybe longer) depending on how well you keep them wet and how dark/sugary your juices are.
