Perhaps this is not the right place to post this, but you guys are the most helpful in all other questions I've brought before you.

Been vaping the v4l stuff for a month now. I do love it and plan to continue using it, especially outside the home because its easy to carry, etc.

But now I want a mod device. Something badass, something that Tony Montana would've smoked in Scarface. I want something that is sorta cheap though and works relatively well.

I've been looking at the eGo. Seems to be quite popular. But do any of you veterans have any suggestions for me? I understand I could probably use v4l cartos on the eGo? Is that true? Do I need an adapter?

If you want something reliable and inexpensive I would go with Madvapes.com.......there Roughstack is tough as nails and you can use it at 3.7v-7.4 just get there Maxi Roughstack v2,you will need batts suggest the 18350,18650 for 3.7v and either there new 4.8 nimh batt for 5v or stack some 123 3.0v for 6v .Also can stack some 3.7's for 7.4 but use high ohm cartos or atties. This is just my opinion.

An eGo isn't really a mod, it's just a fat battery 510. Generally eGos output lower voltage than the KR808D-1 PVs sold by V4L, so expect a cooler vape, lower throat hit, for a given resistance cartomizer.
Perhaps start a thread in the General section, rather than under a vendor-specific forum?

I just went through this myself. Its hard to post about mods in a vendor forum. Its quite a bit like spamming if I post links to suggestions that aren't from this vendor. So I would say better to post in one of the other forums. FWIW, I posted my similar question here: Requests for Opinions/Reviews and got a ton of awesome help. I would say, and nothing about this vendor in any way, but this forum as a whole is so extremely helpful, there is no need to confine yourself to one section for awesome help.

So without linking to mods, its best to just give advice. Before asking about which mods, you should have an idea of what kind of mod you want. In other words, what features do you want that your current ecig is not giving you?

In my research, the additional features that mods can give are: prettier, VV (variable voltage), voltage (fixed non-standard voltage like 5v), juice feeds (benefits of dripping without dripping), battery mods (use batteries with longer life), durability (close to indestructible) and a couple other things I can't recall off hand. Of course, many mods do a combo of these.

Which ones do you want in your mod? Once you pick that, it becomes easier for people to pinpoint a perfect mod for you and for you to get a mod that is exactly what you want. :)

Jbankston sir, my first question to you is why do you want a mod? If it's just for the cool factor, well.... I got one to reward myself for being six months free of analogs, and while the provari is awesome, 90% of the time still using my V4L king diamonds. A mod is great for long car rides where you don't have a free spot for a pt, or if you're somewhere camping and need as much batt life as possible, but it comes at a cost, and not just money. They're bulky, they draw more attention than really needed, list goes on.... It's your money though...

I go to festivals all the time in the summer and it would be great to only need to use one battery instead of 6+. A mod would be nice for situations where you needed a long batt life and you dont have easy access to power. That Jazz stuff looks cool, fsroq! As soon as I get fundage I might look into mods more. I think its perfectly fine to ask in this subforum. We all know eachother and know where you're coming from and its natural to want to ask for help from your friends. Its not like you're in here trying to get people NOT to buy V4L stuff. I honestly can't wait for the new V4L batts. They should be pretty KA.

I was reading your post and if you want a mod then I can give you several suggestions. A roughstack is a good mod and relatively inexpensive There is also the blue crush and gold rush both of which are really good mods and don't cost an arm and a leg. Now if you want to spend the extra money and get a really good mod then I would go with the reo. Now I am not sure if the v4l carto's will fit on them since I use lr carto's on mine You will have to ask someone else about that All I am doing is giving you info on some nice mods that I have tried and really like
