When I attempt to make a 10ml batch.. I use an e-liquid calculator.. follow every step to a tee.. Use a 10ml bottle and when im done the bottles only half full? What am i missing here?

Did you measure your droppers to see how many it takes to equal 1ml? Dropper calibration


I have been using a syringe with measurments right on them, takes the guessing out of it.

Drop the drops if you want accurate measurements. Drops can vary from -20 to +50 depending on several variables.

@Az.. So if I am using one type of dropper bottle.. The drop to ml ratio would be consistant no matter the thickness of what im droppin.. Say PG vs VG.. The thickness of the liquid would not effect the size of the drop? Reason I ask is because I have 15 of the exact same 30ml dropper bottles that i am using.. I think i just confused myself.. lol

I think drops are good only for tweaking the flavor afterwards.

Nope, drop size is determined by density and surface tension. In other words the thicker the liquid and the bigger the hole and nipple on your dropper the bigger the drop will be. A thin liquid dropped out of a small syringe needle will be much much smaller than a thick liquid dropped out of a turkey baster.

eta: I just realized my pun confused you. drop the drops means get rid of them.

Easy solution. Double the drops.

I use pipettes. Simple and no guessing whatsoever. These are the ones I use:
1 ml Serological Pipette | sterile
10 ml Serological Pipette
Plastic 5ml Serological Pipette | sterile

Add a pump and you are GTG.
10 ml Pipette Pump | for accuracy

Just flush them with hot water when done. Makes measuring and dispensing SO easy.
