Well,,,
When you smoked analogs, you had to empty ash trays, keep track of lighters, cartons, and packs. If you used refillable lighters, you also had to keep track of lighter fluid and flints. The end of the analog lit up and lasted a definite length of time.

How many years did you smoke analogs? It's not suprising you enjoy the added complications of the 510. Personally I would be willing to put up with batteries that lasted 10 minutes before needing recharged.

lol. My mom smoked for 60 years, switched to vaping, uses eGos, drips, and STILL likes to have some automatic 510 style batteries around... just for nastalga? Go MOM! (and don't worry about it n2xe). The thing with the 510's is they don't have a long lifespan either. Too many recharges necessary and it's the recharging that wears them out.....

Is it normal to like to change batteries and mess with stuff? I don't think so, but who cares as long as it works for you?

Doesn't bother me one bit. People say that filling up carts/cartos looks like a pain, switching out batteries, keeping track of gear, etc. Considering part of my ongoing smoking/vaping habit is "busy hand syndrome" all the fiddling with stuff is part of the game. I *like* dripping in the car while steering with my knee! Filling up cartos at the end of the day in front of my computer is a new ritual. I need all this to keep my hands busy!
