so i got my riva 510 kit in on saturday and i still havent killed the first battery! hahaha. but....

i noticed that the vape im getting from it is a little harsh. like its really drying out my mouth when i take a draw. also noticed a thinner plume of smoke. i thought that my carto was getting low so i would try to top it off. but i noticed i was doing it so much and only 3 drops was filling it up.

then i tried the same carto on the stock joye 510 batt and nothing but smoothness. thick smoke too.

what can be causing the difference in taste with the two batteries? is it the discharge rate? would it matter since its the same exact carto im comparing with? im wondering if that can be a factor, even though the the atty resistance is still the same.

any enlightenment?

like I said before...
the voltage sags more with the stock 510 so it isnt going to hit as hard, push as much heat, be as harsh...

not sure which riva batt you have as far as mAh goes... or which carto you're using
but figure it this way a stock 510 battery has a max drain rate of like .18A
a 650mAh riva has a max drain rate of .65A

a 3.5Ω carto on a 3.2V battery (the voltage of rivas/eGos/510) is .91A

so since the resistance is fixed as well as the max drain of the battery the voltage has to "sag" ...obviously it doesnt have to sag as far with the riva...so it hits stronger
