Isn't producing vapor like my little tiny Joye510s.

The model I'm using is the USB one...and of course, since it's a new Atty...it tastes awful (even after blowing out and burning off whatever it is they package it with). I filled an empty cart...not using cartos.

I did order some stronger juices (I've been using a low nic juice...12mg) and obviously am getting something from it because I actually got light headed. So, realize, that 24 mg is too much for me to vape all day. I think I'll try that strength in the am and after dinner and then stick with the 12mg.

But...where is the mega vapor that I was expecting? Is there something I should be doing or not doing?

I experienced the same problem with the Mega eGo and I know its not the PG/VG % because I even tried 100% VG and same result. The higher the VG % the more vapor....didn't work with the Mega. I think this large wide mouth atty eGo was not designed properly and it was a rush to upsell the eGo with the "bigger is better". I think the atty needs to be more powerful in order to vape the juice to get more vapor up into the larger mouthpiece but not sure. I, too, thought I was doing something wrong. I even tried dripping into the atty and received the same results.... very little vapor. I wanted to send it back and get my $$'s but the thing does work, but just not to my liking.

I have since moved up to a modified vapor box called REO Grand at www.reomods.com This mod box is fabulous and you should definitely read up on it in this forum!! The Reo Grand is always in short supply because company is a single owner operation. Reos are very hard to get but well worth the wait and effort. Reo is suppose to have more GRANDS available for sale after Christmas. Presently, Rob is selling about 10 to 15 Reo Mini (smaller version of the Grand) per day. He does not post the time of day when available because so many vapers want them and his site crashes if he tells an exact time of availability. Rob, (the designer and owner) has built the Rolls Royce of Vaping..... If you decide to step up and run with the big dogs (no pun intended).... Reo is the way to go.

i have been using a lr mega ego atty debridged dewicked with all the caps out on the whistle tip... ill drop seven drops of vg juice and im good to go for a while with excellent flavor and plums of vapor. my truck gets hot boxed and i actually have to roll down the window... the vg helps for leaking and stays dry on the outside of the device. it hits really hard sometimes too hard and too much for me to handle... i dunno anything about the regulars... but i did notice the mega carts with the mega atty were not a great combo for me... i suggest debridging and dewicking and removing the plugs from ur whistle tip. remember there are two plugs, and then just drip. i don't suggest using seven drops as it is a standard mega atty.

in addition +1 on getting over the standard look of an ecig and if u do try this mod remove the filler in the tip

To each his own, but as far as my tastes go, I haven't found a better 510 type atty. My last one died yesterday and I'm lost without them. I have a 5 volt passthrough and it's good with a regular 510 atty, but not as good as the mega. I also have bauway LR attys and they don't compare either. I drip and the mega atty can be finicky at times, but once they are working properly, the hit is so rich and full. I also find that when they get flooded, they are difficult to unflood. I also found out that 5 volts will fry them.
When they are new, I blow them out, soak them in alcohol and dry them by the woodstove. It takes about an hour and they're ready to go. I drip about 8 drops, let it sit for a few minutes, then drip 3 more drops and it's ready to go and since I've been using this method, there hasn't been a break in period. I dewick them also.
I just ordered some new mega attys today so the mega cartos will have to get me by until they get here.
The mega cartos are also good and give lots of vapor, but I don't like them as much as the attys.
I wish more vendors carried them.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/132683-bridgeless-drippers-dream-atty.html here is a link to the link with the video lol

the whistle tips have two plugs remove the filler then on the top where you hit it from there's a tiny hole in the middle where the vapor comes out... take a paper clip or the pointy end of a safety pin and pop it out. insert the point into the hole and push it up. there is also a second plug, you want to do the same to this too. if i could i would cut out the insides too but i guess im too lazy... this just allows an easy draw imo similar to a drip tip by alleviating the blockage from the atty to ur mouth

OK, got the whistle tip deplugged! Thanks for the instruction. This mega atty still isn't working so well. Will fiddle a bit more and look for the other threads! Thank you!!!

Hmm... I got my mega atty's and whistle tips in last night and both of mine are producing tons of vapor. Much more than the 510 atty for sure.

Well I'm still stumped on this one as well. I decided to pick up my 510 yesterday and can notice a big difference as well. With a short 3 second hit on the 510 I can make a cloud of vapor, and a 3 second hit on the mega gets me a wisp. If I take a long steady hit on the mega atty however, I can make a nice satisfying cloud of vapor which I find is better than the regular 510.

The way I'm thinking of it is that the 510 seems to hit more like a cigarette, and the mega atty hits more like a... uh... thing that you have to suck on for a few more seconds to get alot of vapor.

I guess the 'mega' in these attys is just in that they are larger and can hold more liquid. And to me, it seems I can chain vape a little more without the atty getting so hot. I've also noticed that they work best when they are almost flooded, just enough to where it bubbles a little bit when you draw on it. But they are really bad when they are flooded and will produce almost no vapor. When that happens I hold the battery end up higher to let the liquid out of the atty, and when it needs more liquid I point the battery down a bit. It's like a teeter toter of vaping!

I do enjoy that I can go a whole day with 2 or 3 carts with heavy vaping even though I have to fiddle with it a little, I don't even think I empty the liquid from the carts completely I just like to use different flavors.

Well I hope this helps, I'll keep an eye out for anything else and keep an eye on this thread. Hopefully somebody will figure out how to make this thing hit like a super duper 510. I haven't tried the 'B' style yet, supposedly they make more vapor. Next order!

I haven't gone back to the mega whistle tip cart lately. I used my regular 510's and they worked great...then I had ordered some mega cartos, which I just got, and they work really great. I haven't debridged it yet, but if it doesn't start behaving itself, I might just have to try surgery. :)

With the cartos I don't really need it, but hey, I paid for the thing, so I'm determined to make it work! LOL

the cylinder type mega atty just doesnt wick as good...its very sensitive...it wont work if it is too dry neither does it work if its too wet...it gets flooded easily too...

i've got 3 of them and all three seems inconsistent...i have since moved on to the cone type mega atty (LR)...so far, it is the best i have used...its similar to a regular 510 LR...but much better cuz it can store a larger amount of juice...i would suggest you guys try them...

i use mega attys on my ego and i get tons of vapor. it does take about 20-30 drags to get it vaping decent. i also use 510 attys on it. they are not bad they just look a little odd with out a cone on it. but still produces good vapor and flavor. i vape menthol outta my 510 atty and then other juices outta my mega atty... i notice the 510 atty has a more subtle menthol flavor then the mega.

I love the 510 mega atty/mega cart combination. I like the fact that I can still use the eGo cone with them, they stick far enough above the cone to make re-filling easy, and they hold enough juice to keep me happily vaping for quite awhile with no re-filling.
I have several PVs going at one time so it gives the juice time to wick down to atty. I use Fluval for the filler. Here's how I use the Fluval:

Im getting ready to order Mega attys, and Mega tips from litecigusa on Jan 3rd. I am hoping that I won't have any issues as we are looking at being able to vape longer without having to refill all the time. I am also ordering a couple of the Mega drip tips. I hope I won't be wasting my money because I am on a very tight budget.

Using three drops of juice, I get about half as many draws with a standard 510 atty, as I do with the ego mega atty.
