Happy Thursday everyone! I just got my HV atomizers (4.5 ohm) for my woody and am using it at 6V. Dripping works well, but there may be times (driving) where a cartridge might be a little more convenient. Does anyone know if there would be any problems with using a cartridge with this setup? I have heard horror stories about burning plastic and I wanted to get the opinion of the experts here. Thanks for your help.

There's nothing stopping you from using a cartridge with a LR atomizer, but in my experience it is not usually worth the effort. The Pyramid Tea Bag or Blue Foam Plug cartridge modifications are supposed to wick better and be less likely to let your atomizer go dry, but I find it is much easier to not mess with the mods and just use a drip tip instead.

Instead of cartridges, try some 510 cartomizers for situations where you can't drip--you can even put a drip tip on a cartomizer for refills on the fly--granted, you don't get the same high power vape but if you're driving its probably just as well that you don't obstruct your vision with all that vapor anyway. ;)

Thanks Thulium - excellent advice. I have been using the blue foam mod for the past several weeks and to me, it is a definite improvement over the standard filler. I have played around with the 510 blank cartomizers on my Tornado and I just can't feel the love - maybe a little later I'll try one of them on 6v and see how I like it (or set a small fire, one of the two) :)

As far as driving, I haven't tried dripping and driving (is that agains several state laws? LOL) - instead I just use my tornado with a nice full cart. Sounds like I definitely need to do some more experimentation with cartomizers - weekend project!

Thanks again for your advice - good stuff!
