I don't know anything about all the new tanks and starter batteries coming out these days and need to help a friend get started. Last time you good folks led me to the aspire BDCs for my wife. She's still digging the aspires but... Now there BVCs? Botttom vertical

What's the latest and greatest now?? I know I'll get a bunch of different answers. Best, preferably cheap, of the shelf tanks with replaceable heads.

And best vv ego type battery? Twist, spinner, clk or something like that??

Help please

Well I am new to this but I've learned a lot over the past month and a half. I've got an MVP 2 too. With Aspire Nautilus tanks using the BVC's and I am quite happy with this set-up. You get great flavor and vapor out of these tanks with the BVC's. And the MVP 2 is a solid device. I've had no issues. And it has great battery life.

I'll say an MVP2 paired with a Nautilus Mini and the BVC coil it comes with. The BVC can take the 11W that the MVP2 has to offer.

MVP is a nice step TWO, but hardly a logical choice to switch someone off of cigarettes. Small round paper cylinder to bulky box mod is too big a step, IMHO.

Just for the record I started with a Halo Triton kit and a GreenSmoke kit. I was ready to move on to something better within a week. And I did. Those simply were not cutting it. While I give those the credit for getting me off cigarettes, the MVP 2 and Nautilus get the credit for keeping me off them. I also took it upon myself to join this community and learn and grow. I guess it depends on how much your friend wants to invest in and how much they really want to quit the icky sticks.

While the MVP was my step two, had I known then what I know now, it would have been step one. An MVP and Nautilus Mini combo is actually cheaper than what I spent on my eGO type starter kit with terrible clearos. /shrug

I'm now on step three with one foot on step four. :)

I absolutely love the new Nautilus mini with the BVCs. I have spent more money than I'd like to admit on tanks and this one hits all the marks. I use the nautilus mini on my MVP2 (it is a boxy and heavy beast that sometimes gets weary for me) but I also use it on an EVOD VV batt. The coils can be pricey but a little research will get you good deals on them. My daily set ups are EVOD and EVOD 2 starter kits. Easy peasy, reliable and very little maintenance on those tanks. I like the flavor and consistency of Halo tanks and batts, but they aren't the best choice for really high VG juices and I personally find them in need of a lot more maintenance than the EVODs. Thicker juices just seem to do better in bottom coil tanks IMHO - YMMV. Here's a couple links for ya!

EVOD2 starter kit $29.99 - 2 batts, tanks, charger and 5coils
Kanger EVOD 2 Starter Kit - Vapor Foundry

Aspire nautilus BVC coils 5/10.95
Aspire Nautilus BVC Coils

I almost stole my nautilus mini on ebay but it was a fluke (yeah me!), but here's a link for $22.50 at 3avape.com. Good deal.
Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Tank, Aspire Mini Nautilus - $22.50

Hope this is helpful!

Oh, and the new Nautilus BVC coils are really lasting me a long time. If I want to change flavors, I just rinse them under hot water, shake them, minimally dry burn and fill up. I've been using one coil for three weeks now without any noticeable decrease in function/flavor. Not bad. Not bad at all.
