Exactly.

A bare bones Provari is $75 north of the budget, and I would more or less call a Provari with no more than a 18490's 1100mAh battery a Cadillac with a 2 gallon gas tank.

Let's say you want a colored tube, two 18650 batteries with the extension tube, a charger... let's make the display Blue. That's around $260.00

A Reo + RM2 + two 18650 batteries and charger is about $225.

Both the bare bones Provari (which 18490 is weak IMO) and the Reo are at the very least $75 bucks beyond the budget. $75 over $150 is not within shooting distance, man. That's 50% over budget! A Provari with proper options (color, 18650 tube and batteries) is 85% over budget!

---------

OP: "I'm looking to upgrade from _____. My budget is below (insert price usually at least $75-$100 bucks below the cost of a Provari)"

Provarinati #1 (usually within post #3): "Get a Provari."

MVP/Zmax/SID/SVD/VTR/VAMO owner: "Provari's are over-rated."

Provarinati #2: "Typical. EVERYTIME the haters just HAVE to chime in. Let them, they are just jealous and envious. Warranty, solid, USA USA USA, warranty, USA. You just don't get it 'till you hold it. People be hating."

Provarinati #3: "My Provari turned water into wine. Warranty, solid, USA USA USA, warranty, USA. You don't understand..."

Provarinati #4: "I thought I couldn't have children, but after I got my Provari I am expecting!!! USA! USA! Warranty, USA!"

MVP/Zmax/SID/SVD/VTR/VAMO owner: "Provari's are over-rated. They don't have VW. The Provari Mini is a $200 700mAh rip-off"

Provarinati #5: "Hater! VW is over-rated!"

Provarinati #6: "700mAh may get you 50% less vape time than a $25.00 1300mAh VV eGo twist, but what your not comprehending is that Provari Mini's are forged from the tears of Chuck Norris. USA!!!"

Provarinati #7: "You don't get it, man. You have to hold it."

OP: "I don't understand..."

Also, I get all of this now :D

I started with the evod ego batteries and kanger pro-tank mini. I then went to a VV/VW apv that failed me in about two weeks. Now I have two mechs, and a Provari mini. I wished I went with the provari sooner. Easy to use, very reliable, and works great!

This is the Provari Mini with a Kanger ProTank2 filled with Halo Tribeca at 12mg of nicotine. The coil measures 2.3 ohms. I'm running 4.3 volts with gives about 8 watts. Watts=Volts/Resistance in Ohms. Though you really don't have to do the calculations. Just adjust the voltage to the best vape flavor.

I wish I would've bought a Provari first too. Live and learn. :)

If you wanna be cheap, a Nemesis clone in brass for the lesser voltage drop.

If you wanna stick around $150-$200, BCV XXIX, BCV Surfrider, a Nemesis (if lucky enough,) or a Vanilla mod.

If you wanna go high end ($200) then a Poldiac, Stingray, Hana Modz, ATB mod, JA Victoria Bamboo (biased on this one because I proudly own one + repair for a whole year is only $60 by the manufacturer,) etc..

I really don't know what the mechanical mod Caddy would be, but let's just say it'd probably be the Nemesis. The thing hits and anyone looks good with one.

Golly, I don't know how I missed this thread. "Every time" is two words. No true ProVarinati member would ever make that error.

That's not very nice, when all I did was point out a grammatical error in your post. I was trying to help you express your opinion correctly. Proper use of language makes communication more effective.

You should get a ProVari, it will make you a happier person.

Because one drop can permanently ruin an Evic, and what do you have to show for all that money? An expensive paperweight. It can't be fixed.

A Provari will take nearly anything you can throw at it; its the most durably built regulated mod available. In the rare event that it DOES break, it can be returned to the manufacturer for repair. One year warranty repair free of charge. After warranty repair for life for reasonable parts cost. Typical repair time is 1 - 2 weeks.

Why Provari?

THIS.

I was at my favorite vape lounge (which is an exclusive joyetech vendor) and some guy walked in and bought an Evic and THREE control heads for it. Spent like 350 bucks. Every fiber of my being wanted to scream at him to check out my provari, but being that I enjoy the shop and often help up-sell people to ego-twists (for vv), I kept my mouth shut. For the greater good.

Evic's are fairly fragile for sure. I was entranced by them when I was first using Ego batteries because they had so many cool features. Then of course, I did my research and landed on the Provari, which I initially deemed outrageously expensive and not that great looking.

Things changed lol

I am the OP, lol. :D. I have two Provari's and lots of carto's and great clearo's now. I'm set up.

Plus, a lot of you know me very well by now. Hahaha

Tina, I didn't realize you've only recently converted to a Provari. I've seen your input on many other threads and always figured you've owned one for a significantly longer time than you have. Glad you went with a solid device that meets both you and your husbands needs.

This person didn't ask for the lamborghini or ferrari right.

OP, If you're comfortable getting into simple rebuildables it's worth looking into what I'm vaping right now. The atomizer + PV would cost $150 and it's a kayfun lite+ on a zmax v5. It's pretty easy to set up too. Finding a genesis with comparable performance and then getting it to perform like this is quite tough.
If you're NOT comfortable with a rebuildable one of the best tanks currently out there is the Aspire Nautilus BDC Tank. It's a lot cheaper than a kayfun and opens up more budget for your APV or batteries/charger.
You can also consider some high-end carto tanks with a diver rebuildable carto.

I've looked into divers. But I disagree about Genesis atty's being outperformed by Kayfuns. I do however agree that it's not easy to get them to perform at the same, or superior level. It takes a practiced hand to perfect a genesis and a lot of patience between working out the shorts and preventing it from leaking. I blew through most of an 18490 pulsing out the shorts on the build below. That's just me though. I've become extremely proficient at my genesis builds and this has become the result

A. Not a bad look. I'll say that the kayfuns are far more solidly built than my Pyrex RSST (I own a Russian 91%)

B. MESHHH. With a monster 26 gauge microcoil and stainless steel mesh, I have never seen a build that puts out more vapor (including a decent margin of drippers) than my RSST. Pushing the limits of both the RSST and the Provari with a 2.2 ohm coil at 5.5 volts. This one could easily be pushed to 5.8 without burning. The wick keeps up but my oh my its a pig on juice. I vape through the whole tank in about 5 hours, and that wasn't exactly continuous vaping.

Both gennys and the Provari are capable of this. No subohming required. The massive surface area of the coil seems to distribute heat more evenly, rather than a hot spot or something. A 4/5 wrap of 32 gauge kanthal with similar ohms would be horrible at 5.4 volts. I firmly believe that this thing is chucking vapor at a RipTrippers status, minus the subohming.

You CAN get a warm vape from a genesis. A simple chamber reducer built from a beer can, stuffed with cotton warms and flavors up the vape quite nicely. Drilling the top cap to 5/64 helps a TON with vapor production.

They aren't for everybody, but they're the only thing for me. I'm currently looking into a higher end upgrade too.

PHEW, I spend a good hour and a half SKIMMING this thread lol
