I found a bottle of vanilla custard I mixed at least a year and a half ago. Two yrs even . It is not discolored at all. I'm not a fan of custards, was making this for a friend who eventually gave up vaping and went back to...gag....wintergreen snuff. I tasted of this on my finger and was completely blown away. I've heard custards need time to develop. This stuff is near amazing. I'm cleaning up an rda shortly just to give this stuff a whirl. It may well change my mind toward custard because it smells and tastes so freaking amazing. It's at least a year and half in the bottle steeping away forgotten and unnoticed till today. Any thoughts or ideas on this?

The custard part is ok I guess but the remnants of the lemon are hardly present. I can taste a tiny touch of something citrusy. Ima vape on it some more. My first thought was vanilla so I dripped some over the rda I was using for the chocolate ice cream. Not a bad idea really until I bout puked. So I pulled the wicks, rinsed everything off real good and re wicked. Now I know why I bout puked. Chocolate and lemon dont go together at all for any reason. This aged juice is maybe halfway decent sort of maybe. I'm also halfway drunk too so maybe that comes into play as well. Hard to tell.

I have some cheesecake I made and it almost killed me to wait a month and let it steep. I've been mixing it with fruits on and off for awhile. It was worth the wait. Just noticed I put the date on the bottle when I mixed it... holy cow March 16 (I think it is well steeped for sure :) )

My cheesecakes were pretty much shake and vape and quite tasty right off and only got better as I used it.

Yes... I didn't mean there were not good from the start, but they really do get better with time. Still one of my favorite ADVs (with boysenberry preserves) By the way (and you mentioned it) can't wait to try it with chocolate (and caramel)... and boysenberry... stop it (my head is spinning... too many ideas, but I am excited to try new things)

I've made custards that have sat for 6 months in a dark closet. Really good. Light and air affect how juice ages. Right now I have about 60mls of a 7 month Ella's Shortbread Biscuit copy, and it is amazing. That's cookie and custard flavors, no fruit.
I think I agree that the premium liquids are often more steeped and if you are trying to copy it, that can make a big difference.
More than the flavor changes over time, also the mouthfeel and how harsh or smooth it is.
My wife.... she will vape liquid that has been sitting in the sun for 2 years and has turned black and thinned out.... She's ok, mostly.
