Here are some pictures that illustrate what can happen when you use an unprotected battery a battery fails. The lady this happened to was not harmed, but her coat pocket caught on fire. The case in the photos is a metal eyeglass case.

Edit: It was pointed out that my post might be inflammatory and that this flies directly in the face of "conventional wisdom." These photographs were not posted in order to "stir the pot". Rest assured that the forum administrative staff will be looking it over and discussing possible revisions or amendments to our battery safety stickies.

this was an aw imr battery - also called a safe chemistry battery

I got one picture here from the post...This was a AW IMR Battery which I don't approve the use of in my mods. PLEASE USE ONLY PROTECTED batteries FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE mods.

Thanks Ron Old Goat

I'd like to take a second to thank all of our service men and women for their service to our country. And special prayers for all of our fallen heroes and their families. Without those special souls, we would have more to worry about than what type of batteries to use, or running out of juice.

GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN, AND GOD BLESS THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY!

I just wanted to let the world know that I have received our OG battery boxes... and I'm sitting here staring at all three wistfully... the batteries haven't arrived yet, and I cant find a place local that has them.

I'd also like to send the huge uber thank you from my UT fan, as he is tickled that you managed to find orange leds. He's getting a little grumpy about the batteries not being here yet, and has taken up glaring at the postman when he comes without batteries. LOL.

Just have to ask....since I can't start at the beginning. Anyone tried a bridge less, wick less atty with their OG? I just modded one of my older LR510s with that, and OMG....what a vape!! Smooth...TONS of vapor AND flavor! And it actually seems as if I am not having to juice it as much!

Really easy to do, just be careful when taking the wick out. ShanB made a good vid on it on YouTube.

:vapor:

Should be getting my big feeder in this week....can't wait! Thing sounds bullet proof!

I took the bridge off a few atty's also and tried them and had the same experience as you did. I really think it does improve the vape. (But don't know why)

I also think removing the wick helps a lot with flavor, especially any burnt tastes your atty might have.

Ideas Welcome at Old Goat Mods

As they say " A Penny for your thoughts". Looking for some new Ideas for Old Goat Mods.

I was thinking about making a Hookah Pipe Mod for Group Vaping. The cost to make a prototype is a little spendy and I would like to see what my loyal customers and friends think about this Idea, and If there are any other Ideas for mods you would like to see made.

No Idea is Stupid so Lets Brainstorm Some.

I'd like for you to make a VV box mod and I'd also like to see a pipe mod that uses atties or possibly one that feeds itself. You'd have a real winner there.

Don't know much about building pipe mods but will look into how hard it would be to make as a feeder...Thanks Ron Old Goat

Modrod: is that a VV Hookah or do you think I should make a VV Box Mod Bottomfeeder?

What if I made a VV Bottomfeeder out of a modified 4xAA Battery Box, Would there be any interest?

Get back with your thoughts Ron Old Goat
Yea, I was thinking VV bottom feeder. There's not a whole lot out there in that market. Not at an affordable price anyway. I know I'd buy one. I like what you've made so far and I'm looking at picking up your new 6v feeder soon.

I am running a sale on the 6 volt Bottomfeeder for just 40.00 which includes the shipping...I like the quality of the vape the 6 volt has over 5 volt.

I would love to see a VV mod , with it being a bottomfeeder that won't break the bank. I don't know if you would even consider a tube mod, but I would also like to see that.

I wish you would sign all your mods, that would be great. ( interior or on the bottom??)

I'm not sure how many followers you would have on this, so it may be a personal preference. But I would like to see a countersunk 801 bottom feeder. Kinda a cross between your big box feeder and a Janty stick.

BTW....just got the Big Box feeder in the mail ....first Impressions.......:w00t: !!!

Going to take some pics and do a video review of it after I have used it for the day. I'm not a pro reviewer....so it will be plain, but to the point. GREAT JOB RON!!!!
