I haven't had an analog since I first started using my PV.

However...

It's been 18 days and some change, and I'm still finding myself "looking" for my cigarettes and/or lighter.

When does this part wear off?

I took all the ashtrays out two weeks ago, because seeing an ashtray out of the corner of my eye was confusing my tiny brain.

I don't necessarily want an analog, just the nicotine, which my PV takes care of very well. But, for some reason, I can't get my brain used to the idea that I don't need a lighter, and to stop looking for a pack of cigarettes.

It's like my brain is saying "Okay, time for a cig... where did you put them? Where's the lighter? Oh yeah, we're using this thing (PV) now... okay, grab that. We're good now."

Anyone else experience/experiencing the same thing? Or am I coming across like a nut-case?

It's nut-case, isn't it?

fresca.....Take the word of someone who has been there.....it will wear off! I keep my pv on the table right next to my bedpost for the first vape of the day.I am not even sure if I have a lighter in my house any longer, just some of those long wodden matches for lighting candles and such. There will come a day when you set your pv down somewhere and forget where you left it...on that day you will be free from the analog memories..LOL:)The Wiz!(I still have my ashtrays...they are just sparkely clean now!)

Not at all. I still head outside with the analog smokers at work here and there. Every now then someone asks for a light and I start hunting through every single pocket i have trying to find my lighter...The lighter i havent carried for almost 2 months now..
I know the feeling, you are not alone :)

I have that analog association first thing in the morning. I didn't at first, but it's back now. I don't care, This too will pass. I still don't want one of those. I'm relieved when I realize I have an e-cig and don't have to do all that other stuff. Then it's done.
I have smoked 4 in 9 1/2 weeks. Just for S&G's, and to keep the only smoker in the group company. I took a drag off my Dad's Winston and felt suddenly very stoned. Kinda scary since I used to smoke one once in awhile.... and he used to worry about what I smoked!!

Guess I should add that to my ticker! No tabacco taxes for...days...hours

Well, I feel better knowing I'm in good company. :)

Vapor Wizard: I keep my PV on my nightstand as well. I can't be bothered with actually getting out of bed for my first vape of the day -- I gotta "nic-up" just to make it to the bathroom.
HaHa......And here I thought I was the only one!:)The Wiz!

LOL, yesterday when DH and I got home and we started to get out of the truck the first thing I did was grab his analogs and he just looked at me and said "old habits die hard don't they?".

My DH is a social smoker (makes me sick that he can do that btw) and left his pack & lighter on the patio table last night. Being the sweetie I am, I picked them up to bring them in for him. It felt so weird picking them up....how many times have I grabbed a pack and lighter like that and never thought a thing about it, and now since it's been so long....it was just really strange holding them knowing they no longer held me.

just remember to not throw it out the car window

I'm still scared I'm going to do this. Driving was pretty much my guaranteed smoking time, so I'm used to holding something in my left hand and flicking it out the window eventually. I just keep in mind that I'm holding 20 bucks in my hand while driving.

The other habbit that's hard to break is reaching in my pocket when asked for a lighter lol.

Oh the lighter.....took me about a month to quit thinking I had to find a lighter before I left the house, always checking my pocket. The other one that I haven't gotten over yet is the phone...when the phone rings I had to find my smokes before I could answer it. Couldn't talk on the phone without an Old Gold! Now I try and find whatever PV I don't have hooked up to a PT before I answer. I thought that the smoking and drinkin thing would be hard but I went out the other night for the first time in MONTHS and vapin was all good with Buds. I had kind of avoided the 'social' drinking aspect because I thought it would be too hard but it wasn't.:thumb:
