over on the classifieds i have seen the black chrome finish of the v1. i know it was prone to scratches and the finishing coming undone but it looks downright amazing. offhand, other than the finishes available now (i.e., black satin, silver satin, chrome, and gold), were there any other finishes formerly available?

any difference in the quality and resistance to wear between the current and the former?

thanks for the info; that nice black chrome got me thinking, haha.

The older black chrome version is more prone to scratches than the new black satin finish! The Black Chrome looks amazing but the finish will eventually experience blemishes caused from normal usage. It's my belief that this is why there was a finish change!

If you like the Black Chrome I would go for it if you do not expect heavy usage; otherwise I would go with the Black Satin!

Go with the black satin. My black Chrome is worn all over not even from scratches. Does not hold up well.
