I just tried a cartomizer for the first time in 2 years (a clear eGo Mega Dual Coil), I loved dripping back then, but needed a portable solution, and the best I found were Boge LRs, but they didn't give me the TH and vapor I needed. Well, they have come a long way! Dual coil, wow - the vapor and TH is insane on this thing, but it is a bit large. Since I got back into the vaping world, I have been using clearomizers excusively (haven't tried a tank yet). I am loving this dual coil, and would love some suggestions on what to order next. I'm using an Ego Twist, and I prefer smaller form factors. Advice?

Hmmm. that is tough. The small form factor is the hardest part. I could give you lots of advice on big battery mods and solutions. That really makes it so much easier. I guess if you can stand something as large as the mini nova and an ego twist I would say go for it. That seems to be as small as you can get and have maximum taste and performance. Otherwise you might just as well stick with what you have.

Good luck and happy vaping.

It doesn't use filler material. It uses a wick to draw the liquid directly to the coil. (The same as a clearo.) It is like a mini tank. Most tanks hold 3-5ml. XL Clearomizers will hold about 1ml. The Vivi Minis hold 2.5 so it right in the middle. It is a little fatter than a clearo but much thinner than an average tank.

I just took a look, and it looks just like all of the other clearos I have, except with a bigger tank. What is it about the vivi that will give me a similar experience to this guy: 510 Dual Coil 3.5ml Clear Cartomizer? It seems like it's the dual coil in the cartomizer that is giving me the massive TH and vapor compared to the clearos.

I just reread your post. I misunderstood what you were asking. I can't compare the Vivi to that particular cartomizer but I can compare it to clearos. The Vivi will give you a much fuller vape with more TH than your standard clearos. I don't know the science behind it but they have redesigned the heads so you get a much better vape from them.

You can also buy replaceable heads and just replace the head rather than the whole unit. GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ Twist-On HEAD 2.4ohm Long Wick [gv-VIVNOVA-CoilHeadONLY-2.4] - $2.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Additionally you have the option of buying your own wick and wire and recoiling and rewicking the head your self without the need to buy new heads.

If you have an Ego Twist (VV) you might want to try regular Boge 3 ohm cartos. The form factor is small, and LR on a VV device only hits the battery harder. LR exists only to warm up the vape on fixed-voltage devices. They are cheap, get a box or three, and turn up the voltage!

Tanks can be nice, but usually up the form factor a lot.

Do you know if Boge's or other cartomizers have improved over the last 2 years in their TH and vapor production? That was always my problem until I tried this dual coil guy.

I can't compare to two years ago, but I have been using them for over a year. I have used double coils, but using Boge SR at about 4.5 to 5 volts has been very good and consistent, for me.

Cool - Maybe I'll break out some of my old Boges (I think I might still have some) and give them a whirl on my Twist. Thanks! :D

I like Boge cartos because they are compact and allow me to walk around with my Provari in my jeans pocket without worrying about a tank popping loose or sliding up and spilling juice. I do like the Smoktech DCT tanks around the house. I can fill one up and vape all day on a filling while getting a vape that is satisfying and tasty.

I agree that 3 ohm Boges are good with a VV device. I still have a dozen or so 2 ohm Boges left that serve as backups in case I run out of the 3 ohm Boges. I just run them at 3.5v - 3.7v or so.
