Does anyone have both? If not, does the original whistle with the air holes completely open? I got the clone and it whistles. The design and function of this atomizer is pretty good, I like the deep juice well and over all set up, but the whistle is pretty annoying. The top cap is also fairly loose.. I think it needs slightly thicker o-rings.

Anyone with a clone have the whistle?

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this is the worst designed rda currently available. Cutting air holes in the drip well ensures you are going to leak unless you stack the base with wicking material and even then.... The air holes are in the wrong place for horizontal coiling as your wick blocks airflow if you try to line up the coil with the air hole. The holes are at one end so your coil is only partially near the hole - not a great vape. Coiling above the air holes gives a harsh vape. The drip well wall is so high that it you cannot access the posts even if they did have holes drilled in them which means you have to top coil.

To me the Omega RDA is a cluster frack and goes right along side my Roller in the vaping Hall of Shame -They both look great though :-(

I'm with ColinD. While this is a great looking RDA, I'm starting to not like the functional design of it. It has leaked some juice out of the holes already, and getting the wire in the holes is pretty freakin difficult for me since they're below the wall.

This is however the first time I've experienced sub-ohm vaping, and wow does the flavour ever come alive!! I have to admit I've been rather skeptical with all of the hoopla surrounding sub-ohm vaping, but this dual coil build at 0.8 ohms brings out a ton of flavour, and it I have the air holes all the way open and do lung inhales, huge plumes of vapor like I see in the videos.

Other than that, not sure if I like dual coil set ups. Going to experiment some more since I have a variety of RDAs now to play with. One thing I noticed, going back to my Kayfun, the lack of flavour was startling. Not sure what happened there...

In my experience dual wicking culminates in half your normal battery life and double the amount of juice for nowhere near double the flavour and cloud. So I always 3 wrap a single ribbon coil at about .8/.9.

I have not tried horizontal wicking on the Omega because I cannot see how you can get the wick close to the air hole in that format. For me and the way I like to vape I must have the coil right over the air hole. This gives a smooth vape with medium to low throat hit and plenty of flavour and cloud. The Origen in horizontal mode is just PERFECT.

I too think this is a poorly designed RDA. I'm *so* glad I bought a clone first, before the real thing. I absolutely WILL NOT waste big money on an original. Hell, I wouldn't even have bought the clone if I'd have known how poorly designed it was. Hard to build, useless drip well, and the o-rings almost ensure that as soon as you vape for a while, then take the top cap off, you're going to dribble juice all over.

To be fair, once you get it set up, it makes big ol' clouds... but not worth the trouble IMHO

I agree. I have been unable to set up my Omega clone to where I like it, no matter what kind of build I put in it. My Trident V2, however, hits like a CHAMP no matter how I set it up! I bought the Trident clone first, and I liked it so much I went and bought the original....glad I didn't buy the Omega original first!!

Alrighty...i personally think you guys are crazy. Ive used plenty of RDAs and the Omega(authentic) is without a doubt the best atty i have used to date. I personally find the design ingenious. The airflow is meant to go under and up through the coils, creating a sort of cyclone effect, which produces mad vapor and flavor to boot. I have used i in single and dual coil config on both mech and regulated devices, and its amazing. My current build is a 0.6ohm 9/10 wrap dual microcoil with 28ga kanthal and organic cotton. Blowing the clouds!

One word: microcoils. They allow you to create looooonnnng legs that will allow you to reach the side wall where the air intake is. Its adjustable air system is nothing short of genius. I havent seen another atty that uses this type of air control but there may be some. Just gotta tailor your build to the atty. now i use 70% vg but i have never once had this atty leak. I usually use enough wick to cover the floor of it and i can get a solid 30-40 draws before i need to re drip. Thats insane! It also has that heatsink cutout on the top cap....and my device never gets hot because of that. All in all an amazing atty design, but you really need to config it with the coil directly in front of the air channels, or else it wont be a good vape. I have the original and dont trust clones, but this was the best $85 ive spent of vape gear for sure. Booyah! Again, just try some single or dual microcoils with long legs with the coil in the air channel, and you wont be dissapointed. Id post a pic but im on my phone...peace

It's not really designed to fill the drip well and forget it. It's more like a drag racing, cloud blowing machine.

I think this is a pretty apt description. If all you want is big clouds, then it works great. However, if you're looking for a day-to-day dripper, it's not likely the best candidate. If you want to run single coils with reduced airflow for flavor, not the best choice. If you want something that you can throw in your pocket and not have it leak all over... look elsewhere.

Works great for billowing clouds... just not much else.

I agree. One of the best RDAs out there right now.
