I recently purchased a new mod, and decided it was time to grab a few more atties (22mm specifically) while I was shopping. I decided to try the Omega clone, hoping to love it and upgrade to an OG. While it hits fairly well (tons of vapor, even at around 1-1.2 ohms on an 18350 mod) I've found a few problems that really make me want to leave it in my vape box.
1 - the drip well is nice and deep... but because the airflow holes are so close to the deck, it completely negates that.
2 - because the drip well is so deep, it's a PITA to get the coil leads into the post holes, especially when using a thick wire (24-25 is my go-to)
3 - because there's only an o-ring at the very bottom of the deck for the cap, when you get juice condensation on the top cap, it eventually drips down the outside of the drip well, and as soon as you pull the cap off begins to slowly leak down onto the mod. I like to frequently pull the top cap off to check saturation, and occasionally to tweak my coil/wick a bit, and I find myself having to wipe off the inside of the top cap and outside of the drip well every single time because of the single o-ring.
4 - being a fairly large chamber, I'm getting pretty poor flavor out of this thing. That's not a "flaw" per say, but still annoying.
Are there any easy fixes to any of these problems, or is the Omega just poorly designed? I was really hoping I'd love this thing and go buy the original, but seeing as this is a 1:1 clone, I don't see the OG being worth anything resembling the $65+ they're asking for it...
