What type of mod are you using? What type of batteries are you using? If you are using an APV (MVP, VTR, Vamo, etc.) the your coils need to be around 1 ohm + to fire. If you have a mech mod make sure you have fully charged battery inserted and check to make sure you've adjusted your center pin on your mod top cap if required. Needless to say there are a few possibilities so more information is needed to pinpoint the correct answer for you.

Keep Vaping!

I recently got the Omega RDA and when I went to throw coils on it, I did it right and tested it and it said .4 ohms. But when I tried firing the coils didn't get hot. Any tips are welcome thanks ahead of time.

Strange. Looks like the atomizer doesnt touch the contact pin on the battery - no connection. How did you test the resistance?

0.4 ohm is really low. Do you use sony vct imr high drain battery? If not, you better start using it NOW!

You tried fire it on mechanical or regulated vv/vw mod? I guess mechanical. Regulated mod automatically shuts down when shorting out or similar problem and the wont work at such low resistances anyway. On mechanical without kick, you have to be 100% sure that the build is ok and there is no shorting out. Other vise the battery will get bad in seconds and it can explode in your face! Careful while subhoming!

Leave the pin on omega as it is for starters. Can you adjust pin on k100 mechanical? Its possible, that the 510 threading on omega isnt long enough... If nothing try o unscrew the pin from atomizer a bit. Hope you didnt pay much for k100...

$34.48 Empire KeCig K100 Mechanical Rechargeable Electronic Cigarettes Health Keeping Set - beige / US plug / AC 100~240V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

There are much better and cheaper clone mechanicals on fasttech like nemesis, stingray, caravela, gp paps etc..

Forgive me if I sound like a jerk but how familiar are you with building? I ask cause .4 is well in the sub area of vaping, which I have nothing against, but if done carelessly can cause problems. When I read the original post its not worded like someone who has done a lot of building. I could be wrong entirely.
I can assure you I'm familiar with building. I'm vaping a .34 with 24 gauge 5/6 wraps. and its all good

I don't think there's a pin on my k100 to adjust. And I'm starting to think it isn't long enough as well.

My K100 has a floating pin that is long enough for all my attys. I believe there are some versions of that mod that have fixed positive pins. None that I know of are adjustable.

Does another atty fire on it? If none do the K100 has an issue.

If another atty fires on it, measure the length of the 510 connection on the atty. Is it good? If you don't have vernier calipers, you can put the atty onto another atty, 510 connector of one beside the 610 connector of the other and see if this one is short. Obviously, if the positive pin is recessed in the atty, that could be the issue, but I'm sure you know this already.

Hello all! I've vaping about 8 months and must admit I was a non-smoker for over 40 years. I loved smoking but gave it up to have my children. All are grow now. Vaping has become a new hobby (among many others) I enjoy. I've tried doing some DIY with some success. [emoji106] I recently purchased an RBA but have done no builds to date. This is my first post, though I've been lurking about. Love this forum!

Not to be rude or anything.. But how is this gonna help my problem? Nothing to do with the title.

Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the atty WHILE attached to the mod topcap.

It sounds like your positive pin isn't connecting, which can be fixed by adjusting the pin in
the mod or the pin in the RDA.
Neither of my pins adjust. Could I possibly use these little magnets I got from a vape shop?

I personally would not use any material to try and make a connection if you do not have contact. It may potentially cause a short, increase voltage drop, and other unforeseen issues. My honest advice, would be either upgrading mods, or atty's, that do have adjustable contacts.
