Oh good LORD I knew I shouldn't have messed with a cartomizer. :(

Put liquid in. Put carto on Ego. Turn on Ego. Puff. Puff.

**plumes of smoke and horrid taste**

What did I DO? Other than glaring at carto and smacking it down on the table. Okay, I think what I did is maybe not put in enough juice? Not wait for it to wick to the coil properly?

. . . and gross myself out. I do not like cartomizers. I do not like them, Sam I Am.

Oh, and um.. Do I need to throw this thing away or will the bad taste go away? Will washing it help or no? It's the one that MBV sent me for free because I'd ordered all those juices on accident that would eat my clearo. :(:

At least you still have your sense of humor! I have been a victim of that as well...with new cartos, I do the condom method but I think that the trick to it is to wait long enough so the juice absorbs thoroughly. I have no patience, so that is a challenge for me. Today I filled a carto before I went into an hour meeting. When I got back to my desk, juice had leaked through and the carto looked dry...booooo.

If it tastes really burnt, it's literally toast. Once the filler material gets fried there's no way to get the taste out. Ever drop a hot cherry on fabric? If it just tastes bad, you can cross your fingers and try again, maybe it was just a dry hit (those are pretty nasty).

If you ever feel like filling a carto again this is just one of the ways I do it (people have many different methods and I'm always experimenting): The Ocelot Method of Carto Filling (aka The Upside-Down Condom)

I typed all that humorous crap before I took a really deep, hopeful drag... thinking I'd "clear it out". I was trying not to really inhale but failed and I'm relatively certain I just guaranteed myself lung cancer. That was purely disgusting and I didn't want to screw around with cartos anyway but... oh, bah. I suppose a glass clearo is the way to go for the more acidic juices, right? Is it glass or something else?

Not just a burnt taste like "oh, that doesn't taste right".. Oh no, this was SMOKE, a good amount of it, and dramatic coughing. (I do everything with drama, at the very least, and melodrama is my particular specialty)

Seriously, though... if it hadn't been 4am and I was half asleep and just hoping for a nice, light, tangerine taste then maybe I wouldn't be such a baby about it. lol I do wish I hadn't ruined my brand new carto the first time I picked it up, though.

You can fill it and try again. Carto fillings does take a bit of practice and it still needs a bit of tweaking every time you do it.
