OMG VV issues

Hey fellow capers, or is it vapors?
Anyway, I have been a loyal V4L customer for about a year now, glad to be done with cigarettes, ty V4L.
I just received my new OMG VV, I am having the sudden shut down issue, although that's not all... Many of you may know alot of V4L products are 808 or 810, and the OMG VV is 510 or 505, sorry I don't remember the actual numbers but I'm on my phone and I'm sure you know what I mean. So I use the adapter....my question is could the adapter affect vape quality. I am getting better hits on my Titan xl's. I am using 2.0 ohm cartomizers with smilin juice, all from V4L. I played around with the vv, and found a sweet spot between 3.7 and 4.3.
I was stoked of course to get my mod, and capped it all-day, minus my 3 shut down issues, things seemed ok :-\, until I went back to the Titan. I got more vapor and better air flow, I think it is the adapter. I will get 500 series cartomizers, and that may help, but I'm surprised V4L, would use this adapter solution if it is crippling the mod's performance the way I believe it is. OR is it just the OMG VV itself that's giving me trouble. Please help, loyal caper in need of mod help. Ty.

Welcome , but it's vaping , not caping . And no , the adapter should not cause those types of issues . Some devices seem to work better with some atty's and carto's , while on other PV's don't work very well at all . From the sounds of your post , your using an adapter , so you can use your 808 carto's on your 510 device . I have done the same , but also found that sometimes it didn't work all that well , on all devices . I tend to try my carto's or tanks , etc , on different PV's to see which one it works best on . Try picking up a box of SR 510 carto's and see if the problem persists . Also make sure your batteries are fully charged . Performance suffers when battery is getting close to needing a re-charge . Good Luck .

Update to first response . After I posted the first response , I remembered that I did have some problems with some adapters on several 510 devices . It was an issue of not getting air to the 808 carto , on some devices , so there was little or no vapor production . But as suggested in the first post . Buy a box of 510 carto's and see if the problem persists . If not , then it probably is the adapter . Hope this helps .

Renzuli,
Thank You for taking the time to respond.
Wow, this mod is cheap, now it wont display anything and the charger they sent me cracked, lol. OMG is right!!!
I called they said they would send a new one, and they only had 2 person with issues, but i have seen many more on here.
I asked if i could get some 510 cartos for my tank...They no longer carry those.
I need a new mod, charger, batteries, and 510 cartomizers...Any suggestions?
Id love to get a ProVari and Z-Atty but $$$$$ lol.

out of all my mods my favorite is the new chrome lavatube from volcano... 3.5 amp limit and ohm checker for much less then the provari and it works like a dream. with the money saved on the device you could put that towards sourcing your ZAP.

you dont want to run a kick in most of the lavatubes as there isnt a extender i have seen and that will cause issues with the pin at the top of the battery area. i ordered all 4 of mine from volcanoecigs.com (one lasted me a year and survived my 900 ninja wreck, one i gave away to my cousin, and the other 2 still run nicely). they sell them in kits(comes with charger, 1 18650 1600 mah battery, the case for the device, 3.0ohm atty) the blacks 2.5 amp with no ohm checker for ~100 and the chrome 3.5amp and ohm checker for ~110. they also sell the 2000mah batteries for ~13 and the battery cases for a buck or 2(very important to have a battery case when carrying them around, loose batteries can be a big problem)

as far as the vivi nova, i run 2 of them daily, if going with the chrome make sure you get the one with the air holes on the end cap not the threads. as the thread air holes get blocked and makes for a very stiff draw even with a 510-510 adapter

Don't pay attention to any of the jerks , that respond to your post . We all were noobs , at one time , including them . But you don't use a kick in a VV device . But other than the Lava -tube , you may also want to check out the Vmax . More similar to the Provari , and actually hits harder , at a lower voltage . But I will mention , that most of the time my Vivi-Nova tanks , don't want to work on them . But there are lots of carto tanks out there that work very well . Good Luck

Ty Renzuli,
I just order the new LavaTube in Black :) w/ extra battery
And A ViVi Nova tank
I am very excited after the OMG VV debockle.
I was also gonna try and score some juice from Rawr Vapor.
Like all of us I am most glad to be done with the cigarettes, but I would love to get the most out of my Vaping experience and really find the sweet spot for different juices.
I was going to try the 70/30 pg/vg mix, I have heard good things about that.
And as for my new tank I think I may build my own wick/coil set ups, since the Ohms may then vary from each one I build I am glad to know I will have the VV to fine tune the setups.
I do with the LavaTube could tell me the Ohms of my tank, but hey at least I didnt have to go the ProVari/ Z-Atty price for some hopefully very happy vapine.
Thanks Guys for your help to us Newbies on here :vapor:
