I should have listened. I should have learned more. I should have not sell myself out to those fancy looking commercials on magazines. I paid $69 for BLU starter kit. It was good. Looks cool (It still does though), taste is good (for pre-filled carto) and easy to carry it around since it does look like regualr cigs. But somewhat, it bored me. No throat kicks at all. All of those cartos are taste similar (Cherry Crush & Tabacco flavors...tastes amazingly identical lol...:facepalm: Now I put it up on Craigslist or sell it to local pawn shop. Or I will just give it away or take trade for any RBAs. Who started the vaping from BLU?

If You want to change to something else by all means do so. I would keep he Blu as a back up, or just in case. I never had a blue but started with 808 cig-a-likes. I am upgraded now but every now and then for various reasons use the 808's. So barring anything expect financial reasons I would hold on to the BLU

I started from Blu. Although it didn't get me to quit smoking, it started my path. I still think they look cool as hell, but they aren't strong enough. I now use an eGo with a Vivi Nova, and am a happy camper, but I'll never begrudge my Blu as it started me on a better path. I still pick it up once in awhile and I fill the cartridges myself if I'm feeling bored. ;)

Yea I know a lot of people who tried that type and went back to the stinky stuff. I did not start that way thank God. I started with an EGO 1000mah Twist and their cartuidge ( yuck) and clearo's. Liked the clearos moved up to Vivi's then Evods and the Protank and RBA's and RDA's. The ones I use most are the Protank, Evod and my IGO-W RDA. I also use an AGA T upgraded to glass and a ceramic wick. I finally found stuff I can stay with. Still use the Vivi's but damn it sometimes you get dry hits or burnt taste no matter what. Better luck with the bottom feeds and RBA/RDA's.

You won't hear me talk bad about Blu, might not suggest them to someone I'm trying to convert. But they are the "mainstream" foot in the door to the glory that is the vaping alternative. If everyone started out with all of the knowledge, they wouldn't exist. But they aren't bad to help show you the way. I would like to see a nice little eGo package become mainstream in my area, but you have to start somewhere. I'll keep my Blu, if nothing more than a reminder.. Z

Yeah I totally agree though.

BLU worked like gateway vaping for me. Thats how I got to this point. Its like weed to upper class substances like...$@#%@ and !@#$%.

I couldn't agree more. Got my Blu as my first setup in 2010. I out grew it quickly, but it certainly started me on the path to quality vaping also. I wouldn't recommend Blu to anyone serious about vaping, but they are a good gateway.

I kept my Blu set-up as a back-up. Finally trashed it after not needing it for a year and half. I'm on a ProVari set-up now (man, I couldn't have saved a lot of $$ and hassle if I'd jumped straight to the PV!) and I keep an eGo around for backup.

Bottom line: don't feel bad about starting with Blu...a lot of us did.

I like my blu lol I have a vv twist not used to it yet...I refill my cartomizers with my own e juice....I like the look of blu and like the pcc. Although kinda wish i'd known what I know know and spent the extra bit to get an eroll instead....
but I got the blu cuz it was on sale as "damaged" since some idiot (thank you idiot) bought it opened it and returned it lol within 10 seconds. since it was opened the retailer couldn't technically resell it and couldn't return it so they knew I'd been on the fence about e cigs and gave me half price to cut their losses.

i like the cig-a-like for when at work and driving.

I think just about everyone starts with a cig-a-like and are ill-informed with only what's in local gas stations :D (yes I work at a gas station hehehe) so it's either blu or 21st cent or fin....after comparing the 3 the blu was the better deal as you get 2 batteries, wall charger and the pcc as well as the starter pack cartomizers.

first e cig I tried was blu, thought it was ok, then I used my cusions vapor storm and went WOW. So naturally I went out and bought the storm instead. later down the road (maybe a few weeks lol) I started looking at this site and VV, after watching some reviews I ordered a ego twiste 900mah, also bought a dc tank with boge cartos, and a kanger protank and DAMN, even better.

my advice go Variable volt, for me it makes my vaping experience so much better. not saying my vapor king is bad, its 3.7 volts and works awesome with my dc tank, not so good with the protank. thas way I have a 1.8ohm evod coming my way :)

even though im 100% happy with my current setups, I still want a bottom feeding VV box mod really really bad, IDK why but I do. Never ending cycle

I also started with a Blu. A fair gateway to vaping but, if I had found ECF before the Blu, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Mine got returned to Walgreens about 2 weeks after I bought it. The week prior, I bought my first good PV which is now the backup to my Vamo. Blu wasn't real good but, I won't hate on them as they were the gateway to better vaping.

When i started with blu i just could not quit smoking, was a vaping and smoking day untill i got my first twist.. The very first day on the twist i never go bak to smoke..

I hate how this company sell very good disposable. My first blu was a disposable and when went to the premium pack was a complete story, every pack of cartos was not consistent some cartos last all day some few hours some few puff.. And flavor was not the same on all 5 cartos in same pack.. ANYONE that read this stay away from blu... With the price of a premium pack get a couple of twist and evods and you will be in a vape heaven

Have to completely agree. From a cultural marketing standpoint BLU is leading the way and making the effort to get people to learn about vaping. When even non-smokers non-vapers see the ads they get used to seeing the product so you don't get blamed or questioned for smoking something you're not. Those BLU ads are what got me here to learn more about making the switch.

I started on a Blu. As others have already said in this thread, it was a good gateway. I was seriously overwhelmed by all the hardware and the jargon when I started researching vaping--the Blu was my way of testing the waters with a setup that I knew would just work right out the box. And it was something I could walk into a Walgreens and just buy. I knew in the first half-hour with it that I could give up cigarettes for vape. I outgrew it pretty quickly, but I still have it and the cartos. I'll probably never use it again, but who knows, it might come in handy at some point in the future. And it got me off of analogs, so it's got a bit of sentimental value to me.

Still have my 510 cigalikes, tried using them last week and still doesn't cut it for me. I think the smaller setups just need a higher nic level to work best but once you jump to ego batteries and such the nic doesn't need to be as high.

I'm happy I started with the cigalikes even though they didn't work they got me into something better that I wouldn't have done without them. A few months later and love my twist / vivi nova setups for when I am out. Got an apv and a mech and a couple rdas to play with when I'm at home.

I remember going to the vape shop for my 510 kit and seeing the vendors using apvs and such and thought I will never use something that big lol.

I would hold onto it. You can get empty cartomizers and fill them yourself with different juice. You can always pick up something a little bigger, but if you go out you might want the smaller pv.

Trust me, no one here has only one pv!

I do...just kidding (10 PVs in assorted types, power, and places). I didn't start with a Blu. I started with a basic non-VV eGo 650mAh with cartridges and atomizers...almost as bad as the cigalikes IMO.
