OMGosh! Just opened my eGo-T...

I have been vaping for one week. Didn't go so well with lower end cigarette looking e-cigs. Reading the posts here I got over vaping needing to look like an analog smoke real quick.

Just opened my eGo-T box. Plugged in a battery for an 8 hour charge. (It's going to be a late night for me)! And, I should not use the 2nd battery until it has an 8 hour charge, too? Seems to be a debate on whether to use the batteries right-out-of-the-box.

What I don't understand is:

1. Adding drops of juice to the atty to keep it moist
2. The on/off push button

I will have to push the on/off button 5 times prior to vaping. Does that prime it too? Seems like I read to prime your eGo-T.

I blew and blew on the battery end of the atty and nothing came out. I saw on YouTube that the manufactured primer will taste like vomit. - Well -sign me up! :?: Thankfully, I saw another vaper on YouTube that said great taste - from the get-go.

Do y'all refrigerate your juices?

Oh - I can't wait to vape late tonight!!

1) You must prime the atomizer. If it doesn't get enough liquid, you will get a "burned plastic" taste. Getting enough fluid to the coil will correct that issue.

2) Pushing it 5 times only turns it on. Press to use. When you are done, do the five presses to turn it off. The button is electronic only and will not prime the unit.

3) Some vendors have recommended to me that I not refrigerate liquids as condensation could form in the bottle and affect the liquid. I find that keeping it below 75 degrees keeps my liquid just fine.

Hope you like your new PV!

You can use the batteries right out of the box. There should be no debate on this. The instructions to charge them for 8 hours come from the days of NiCad batteries. Those used today are Li-Ion and are shipped with about an 80% charge on them already. Use one and charge the other until the indicator says it's full.

Don't put your juice in the fridge. It isn't really necessary. Just keep it out of direct sunlight/heat and it'll be fine. Some juices might change color after a while, but it's nothing to worry about. They have a very, very long shelf life and as long as they still smell and taste good, they are good. Refrigeration may dull the taste of your juice and will definitely slow the steeping process that some juices need for the flavor to develop.

By priming the eGo-T, I believe what was meant is to draw on it without hitting the button, pulling juice down into the coil. I had to do this fequently with thicker juices to get them to actually wick.

No precharging is necessary in all reality. Just use them until the button blinks 5 times, indicating it has died, screw it into the charger and let it sit until the light turns green.

On/Off was already explained.

Bad taste at first comes from primer on the atomizer's coil. This is true for *EVERY* atomizer system, they all come with primer on them. Simply blow through the tank end with a paper towel on the other side to clear out the primer, wipe the threads off well, and repeat until nothing else is coming through. Drip a few drops through the thread end and let them soak in if you really want to, but it's not required.

It's not true that every atomizer system comes with primer on them. Most will, but the atties that I buy are shipped dry so the user has to prime them and break them in.

Bad taste can also be caused by a dry atty, an overheated or overworked atty or an atty that just needs a good cleaning.

Congrats on your purchase!!! I found if you take a really deep breathe and blow half a lung full of air through the tank side. You get a rather big drop of primer juice the collects on the hole under the threads. I did this to both that came in the kit and the low res atty i just got in my vape mail today. I find a tank of juice gets the rest out but once you get through its all gravy on the rest of the way. Also i took the two plate's out of the mouth piece on all my tanks it makes for a much better vape. The only time i ever had juice pull up into my mouth is when i changed tanks and did not seat it correctly. So taking the 2 plates out will only give you better air flow. I vape on one battery all day and switch out at the end of the day or when i wake up and also, i did vape on one till the first charged and as soon as it was switched out. They both go all day so the eight hour first charge is a non issue in my book. Lastly, i would recommend on your future shopping list looking into a LR and a pass through as i have ran the battery down in the evening a few timest that is after vaping for 16 hours off and on. The standard res atty kinda mutes the softer flavors but pops out a few of the more strong or bolder flavors that can shine even your just smelling them. But, for a first strong all day work hourse i am content for now.

vape away

p.s. for got to add this check your level in the window from time to time. When the atty runs the tank dry you have a few pulls then it gets nasty real quick. The atty is pretty responsive when the tank stops feeding it. Also, if you find your chain vaping the hell out of it. Which i do on my breaks at work, keep the tank pointing vertical. The system can keep up even if you double tap the tank. By that i mean take a pull till the time blinks release and take a another pull right away. And one other thing the pass through with a lr will give you a more close 5v vape which you can sit or go with. Sorry for the long winded response.

'eh, fair enough. From what I've read and in my experiences it's been true. Of the Joye, Riva, and whatever gotvapes carries of 510 atties as well as my Joye eGo Tank atties, I've had primer on them all.

Guess that's what I get for assuming :p

Vomit? Wow...mine had flavorless PG in it out of the box, and the first set of tanks that came with the 'set' were prefilled with some kind of very mild tobacco/honey flavor. I was able to break it in/season it good with the prefilled tanks and my own flavors stacked on the atty without blowing them out just fine when I started using them.

Main thing with the eGo T is not to suck on it too hard/fast. If you have problems with it 'flooding' and leaking liquid...slow down your draw. If you get 'dry hits'...suck a little harder (but not too hard), or occasionally give it a draw without pushing the button.

Once you figure out the draw...they're pretty sweet. If the eGo T draw is just too stiff for you...no matter what you try...your batteries are still great...don't hesitate to try other cartomizers (from 2 Ohms to 2.5 Ohms) or regular 510/306 atties on them :)
