Hello all,

A bit of a background. Continuously smoked for 35 years, LOVE tobacco, truly enjoyed Cubans (Diplomáticos was my favourite) and pipe (Latakia variants) for years. Six months ago was diagnosed with early stage of COPD. Boom. Reduced my intake to 15 cigarettes a day and tried acupuncture, gums and counceling ($$$) to quit. Didn't work, couldn't stay longer than a day without a puff.

Until I tried ecigs. I an now on my second week of being smoke free!

My e cig journey started with joyetech eRoll and Bloog. Moved to Aspire Premium Kit on the same day, couple days later replaced the battery with variable wattage Itaste VV4.

After few more experiments I am happily settled down now on eleaf iStick 30W + Kanger Subtank Mini (with OCC sub ohm coil) combo.

In the meantime I have also tried about 10 different flavours and so far my favourite juice is a blend 90% American Red +10% Red Tin Mints at 9mg. Still on a search for a perfect tobacco flavour (cigar/pipe type).

All the best,
Victor

to ecf VictorC. Nice to meet you and glad you are here. Just an awesome place to be. Sounds like you are off to a really good start and congrats on the two weeks. I love vaping myself. Look forward to reading more about you but in the meantime. . . make yourself at home.

Congrats Victor!

I had a similar experience and ended up with a similar setup. I quit cigars, pipe, and cigs too.

If you liked getting all the different pipe tobacco tins and aging different blends etc I've got news for ya that journey is going to continue with liquids haha I have amassed a stockpile in such a short time

Welcome and am so happy for you

Hi Victor, Welcome to ECF!
That's great you're making the transition so well. 2 Weeks is an accomplishment to be proud of!
I too love the Latakia blends as well as anything heavy on Perique, there is a ton of information and reviews as well as knowledgeable folks that can give you any information and tips for what you're looking for here:

Of course, you'll need your 5 posts first, and wait for the server to refresh at about :25 after the hour, every hour... then you can get involved and really start your journey!
Good luck! I hope I see you around the tobacco threads!

Congrats on making the switch, and welcome to the forum! If you get tired of the tobacco flavors being a poor substitute for burnt tobacco, I found coffee e juices to be a good replacement because of their darker flavor profile.

I like to add coffee flavors to my tobacco flavors, they go together rather nicely.

Great you been able to quit cigs. I was 40 years on them myself .5 months off now using innokin clearomiser started on 18 mgs nicotine down to 12 now and doing ok . I was getting pretty affected by smoking and had pneumonia once .I did pick up a nasty bug last xmas which im hopefully mostly over now and my breathings way better but still get easily puffed if I do sudden exertion. Has your breathing improved yet ,keep in touch with your doc ,vaping can affect poor lung capacity depending on how much damage we did smoking .Hopefully they will be able to heal up eh.
