Now you can visit the thread for those waiting for their Vari's.... forgot what it's called.
Satin Silver. Black was tempting, maybe next time. Dripping with the 306 should be fun, and I hope the IKV mega cartos work well at whatever voltage I want. I'm curious when I will receive my order, it says 1 week wait or less. I shall see!

god, i know i will be buying one too.... Im seriously just waiting for like a 1% off coupon code..... i need a deal someway lol

ext cap ,2 18650 batterys, 5 pack of cartos and charger. I will buy it all PROVAPE!

These guys cannot make these fast enough and it has been that way since it was introduced. You are going to wait for a deal for a long time IMHO. Do yourself a favour and order now. I did a few days ago and once the pain of clicking the button ($325) passes it's all good!!!

Now all I gotta do is wait...

Had my Provari a few days now and loving it, no issues. I just had one question about the button...is it supposed to be very slightly loose? Like if you shake it can you kind of hear the button rattling? Its no issue and works fine but I just want to make sure mine isn't wearing out too quick.

Kind of impressive thats the only non-praising thing I can comment on lol.

no worries... this button is what i love about it... believe me, it's rated for a gazillion clicks, and it has just the right amount of play... not too hard or too soft. You can turn the light off when it fires just to save batt... it will still blink when batt charge notification happens.
Some have said it is loose and can hang up but that has never even near happened with both of mine.

Thanks Ukeman for the reassurance. I was just being a little nit-picky I guess lol, theres just about 1% of looselessness (lol). But I do like the feel of the button and how it is almost flush with the unit when pushed down. i've been loving this thing, the 18650 batteries have been lasting me exactly a day or more at 4.2-5ish volts at around 3 ohms. Fantastic. <3 my Pila charger as well.

I also got a lot of experimenting in with dripping the 306s that Provape sent me as well. Its really a great experience. I think I still have a couple things to learn. I dewicked the 306s and then couldn't resist ripping one apart that I think I broke by blowing water out of it too hard - to see what I was dealing with

...I noticed that the actual inside space of the coil has wicking material stuffed into it, which was black when I pulled it out. Will an ultrasonic cleaner with water clean something like that out I wonder or is the trick to not let it get black? I've also been having trouble keeping my mega 510 cartos wet apparently, as I sometimes get a slightly burnt taste at less than 5 volts and the ohm rating is 3.2-3.3. So I am rocking them at around 4.2-4.5 volts with not too much trouble.

I was sad that dripping thick dark juices gave me a problem with the plastic drip tip, but I think the glass one will make it a bit easier.

All in all a perfect device...couldn't be happier with it. Just have to master the equipment I am using on it :)

your welcome... i am just coming in after the fact; i was/am lucky to have the advice of a special vet here, who has been absent for a while who taught me a lot about vaping and equipt... at least where to look and which vendors knew their stuff, like the Provape people; because of jimho, i got in on the first presale for the Vari...

I don't know much about the anatomy of attys/ cartos etc, but i know what i like.. my favorite atty unfortunately doesn't last long.. the dse 901 regular 2.8 ohm... good attys are important... reg. joye 510 are 2.2 ohm (lasts longer)... i vape at about 3.7 to 4.5 v as the atty starts it's inevitable wavering in resistance, creeping up til it's either in need of cleaning or a goner...

3.0 to 3.5 attys may last longer and start at higher voltage... 3.9 to 5.0 or more.

Carto's are notorious for getting burnt filler, no matter what voltage, and clogging, but it's good to keep them safely wet and i would guess to use less vg.

i just orered a 10pak of dse 901's from Vaporkings... $37.

the Pyrex tip is mandatory for good dripping imo....
cheers.

The advice of a vet can mean everything. If someone had forced me to buy a Provari the second I wanted to buy a PV and quit smoking, I would have saved soooooooo much money on lesser-tier PVs. The Provari just accommodates all of my needs.

Can I ask why you like the dse 901 so much? Just curious. Do attys of the same ohm at the same voltage really taste that different, or is it something else? I couldn't see myself bother with dripping anything other than a 306, just because its so easy lol. And you're probably right about the pyrex tip, it just improves the dripping and taste altogether.

I actually cracked my first Pyrex but I bought a second one and they send me a third as a courtesy as well because of that. I will be more careful this time lol. My IKV 306s only shipped today, so that should be the final experiment for now...IKV306 + pyrex, using much care on both pieces of equipment. I think I will actually keep my voltage down too, you say 3.9-5.0 and it took me a little bit to realize that its not necessary to go to 5.0 @ 3 ohms all the way, and that 4ish works just fine. Live and learn, so it seems. The CE3 clearomizers still have me guessing and hoping though haha

Until a few months ago, i used 306 and 510's just because that was the conventional gear...
carto's have their drawbacks, and the health questions of burnt filler in the lungs kept me away for the longest, although i am not so sure about vaping not being unhealthy in general... smoking is worse, and that's another discussion.
a year ago, most vets had tipped me that dripping was (and still is imo) the ultimate vape experience... with that in mind, i went through the bottom feed phase (for me) and had progressed to the point in the dripping curve, where i got a good vape about half the time, and with perseverance, eventually got a good handle on it.

For the Provari, and any great VV, of course forget LR attys...
I have stock of 510 reg (joye 2.2), and 901 regs (2.8)... these are made for a 3.7 pv basically, but imo are best suited for the Vari... see the chart for voltage/ohm at the Provape Vari site page... affirms it.
I have some higher resistance 901's to work on (3.5 Ohm), and with use, they may show to be the optimal for the Vari in the higher ranges.
Anything higher than 4.+ Ohm or so limits your voltage choices and may be better suited to 6v+ pv's.

In my experience, the 901 gives a consistently fuller vape, not a ton of TH, and great taste. The 510 just seems less consistent... the best vape on the 510 imo, is with a little less juice (2 to 3 drips). Those last vapes before re-dripping seem best.
The 306 is just great... very consistent given the right amount of drips...
But 901, i'm just sold on... fuller and full flavor. Not too many are using them it seems, and i don't know why. Maybe most perfer more TH.

The 801's are too bulky for me... little TH, lots of vapor, just too heavy and bulky.

If you look inside the provari with the battery out, you can see that the button that you push on is just sitting in the hole. The actual switch is a micro switch, the clear button just sits in the hole and is held in place by the switch being against it. So yeah it's a little loose, nothing to be concerned with.
