Three Pics, used the 1/16th drill bit as suggested. One came out to be 2.0 and the other 1.6. That ugly (non micro) looking coil was what I had on the VV, after all this time it's still working after vaping MVB cinnimon bunn. Oh, and sorry about the pic of the Provari, but it's got to be used for something. You will see them on the classifies soon! Micro 1.6 8rolls 30 gauge 1 and 16th.jpgMicro 2.0 11-12 wraps 30 guage 1 and 16th.jpgNon Micro 1 week old cinimmon juice still working.jpg

The difference of the micro coil and my regular coil is MIND BLOWING. I am truly, truly impressed! Once again, I would like to thank you guys for your support and guidance! Without you, I couldn't have done this. Oh buy the way, I used the fire and squeeze method (with tweezers) and it seemed to work. Also, burned the coil three times like Super X said. Glad I did; I noticed a black type of small sheath coming off one piece. The taste is fantastic and the clouds were more than anything that I have ever experienced!

Not tryin to hijack your thread.

I just got a ERA ready for the ------- REO I'm hoping comes tomorrow.
Had a variety of things to wrap a coil on, then I questioned the size of a 1/16 drill bit and a 16 gage needle?
Being a little OCD I got the calipers out, yes I checked everything in the box

Yellow 20 gage needle 0.91 mm
Pink 18 gage needle 1.26 mm
purple 16 gage needle 1.64 mm
Green 14 gage needle 2.11 mm
1/16 drill bit 1.58 mm
Tooth pick 2.00 to 2.21 "measurements were on the same pick"

:)

At the shore...
thanks! posts like this give me hope.

i received an RM2 yesterday and i've been staring at it in terror.

i LOVE the title of your post, so i hope i'll work up the gumption by my 7th day :)

Review Rob's video on the website. Start there. While not a micro coil, 3 or 4 coil wraps on a wick will give you an excellent vape.

debzcf, you are so right. My first coil was about 4-5 wraps. The difference between that and my cartomizers and regular 501 atomizers was night and day. This micro-coil earth shattering.

thanks. i'm planning on trying that method first (by my 7th day) :)

i don't think i'll be trying microcoils any time soon. i more or less lost the use of my right hand (and, yup, i was righthanded) a few years back, so fine work with my clumsy left hand is problematical.

besides, i might actually need another day or two to actually see the screws so i know what screwdriver to buy. man, they look huge in all the photos and videos

i have one of the "helping hands" thingies with a magnifying glass on order,so that should help.

and when all is said and done, i'm so gd stubborn, i'll eventually get it working one way or the other :)

If wrapping coils turns out to be a problem, I'd be happy to do it for you. All you'd have to do is stick the coils through the holes on the posts and tighten. Give it a shot -- I'm optimistic!

Good info, Bob. And, OCD? . . . . . yes, a little. In my mind, 0.06 mm isn't anything to write home about. Here, I'll put a 6/100s of a mm dot between these two arrows . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . →←

In fun, all in fun :)
