I got furious with them. They made me smell bad, they made me lie to my family about using them, and they made me a downright terrible person for all of the deceit I was constantly enmeshed in. On this day, two months ago, I got so made at cigarettes that I threw away almost an entire pack and vowed never to smoke again.

I immediately started using a little Blu disposable, and four days later I had purchased my first eGo T setup. It was exactly what I needed.

Now, two months later, I own an MVP2, I've found a few seriously intense ADV's, and I haven't touched an analog since.

WOO-HOO!!!

Never thought it would happen...but here I am!:vapor:

Oh, my story here too! The amount of deceit I was living with was awful. My poor husband is a tad clueless, and had no idea how much I was really smoking. It was something he hated though. I was using mountains of air freshener throughout the house. He must've thought I had a urinary issue...I was in that bathroom every hour, smoking of course.
Every trip anywhere meant I had to figure out where I was going to be able to sneak a few puffs. And whenever we talked about budgeting my first thought was how I would be able to hide the expense.
Health was the least of my concerns, but there is that mother of mine with emphsema, who's so glad I stopped!

Congrats to you as well! It's such a terrible thing to be a secret smoker. It seems as though vaping results in so much more freedom for us.

It's great to hear you have two months under your belt, here's a toast to a smoke free future.

When I've quit in the past, the smell of smoke has been alluring - really bad. I'm terrible for slipping back into smoking in the summer, as spending time at family events, barbeques etc, beer gardens, literally any situation where smoking is present is a killer for me. Since vaping, the smell of smoke is literally turning my stomach. Vaping works, really really works!

Vape on, and enjoy :D

Congrats on your two months! "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" ;)

But I have to say - yeah, smoking's bad for you. But isn't it tragic really, that smokers are made to feel like less than the dog poop scraped off the bottom of a shoe? I mean really--resorting to LYING to family and friends so that you don't feel judged, or mocked, or like an absolute weakling because you smoke? Just because you smoke doesn't mean you live under a rock, or beat your kids, or cheat on your taxes, or robbed the corner store for your "fix".

I smoked, and smoked proudly (once I hit adulthood) - not that I was proud that I was slowly killing myself, but that I was partaking in something that was LEGAL and no one has a right to denegrate me for what I choose to do with my life. Yeah, I was mad as hell too - but at the anti-tobacco nazis convincing people that one class of people deserves to be pitied, condescended to, and relegated to the same fringe of society reserved for the homeless and mentally ill...for a HABIT. Yeah, thanks for that.

Anyway, 2 months is fantastic - you've quit, and that's AWESOME, right?? WTG! :vapor::vapor:

I had a similar experience. I had some friends who vaped and I was sitting at a table at the Karaoke place one of them DJ's at. I had already started vaping for a day or two but I had like 5 ciggies left so I figured I would finish them off that night. I smoked one and it just tasted gross. I started another one later in the evening and like you, it kinda made me mad. WHY was I smoking this nasty thing that made me smell nasty (especially my hair), made my clothes smell so nasty that I put them in the closet until I could wash them to hide the smell, and generally I knew was VERY bad for me, especially considering a medical condition I have. I did not finish the last three, gave them away to someone at the bar, and I have been vaping ever since. A couple of our other friends have been converted so now at our normal table at the bar, it's all clouds, no smoke. Even though others still smoke in the bar of course, I don't come home smelling like an ashtray.
