I quit smoking a pack of cigarettes a day years ago, but I maintained by bumming one cigarette months in between. I vaped 5 months ago and decided to quit. I got cigarette dreams and decided to vape again. I'm at 1.8ml Vuse Alto 2.4 Nic Pod a week. I've never felt better to be honest. I enjoy vaping while I drink once a week and enjoy vaping while I drink coffee and tea. I cleaned my house and i notice it is easier to clean out my lungs in the morning.

I don't dream of smoking, but the drag I missed. It wasn't the smoking, but the dopamine release from nicotine. Since vaping, I occasionally get that smoke urge, but a few vapes take it away. After a few days (I went 13 cold turkey) its supposed to be psychological, but I put it at that dopamine surge and serotonin levels.

I've been vaping happily for 7 or 8 years now, but I just started dreaming about smoking about a year ago. In the dreams I'll be smoking a cigarette (usually in a non-smoking area) when I suddenly remember that I shouldn't be because I vape now. Then I decide I might as well finish the pack I accidently bought (my waking mind always wonders how one manages to 'accidently' buy a pack of smokes), but I worry that my relapse will end up lasting longer.

Me too, with the dreams. Last month I celebrated nine years since my last cigarette, loving vaping, almost every day thinking how miraculous it feels to be a nonsmoker, but in the year leading up to that vapaversary, I have had dreams at least three times, in which I am smoking cigarettes, or looking for my cigarettes, or upset because I forgot to buy more cigarettes. When I wake up, it's like any bad dream, and I'm thinking oh, thank goodness it was just a bad dream. It has nothing to do with cravings. I think my subconscious is just having a look back. Glad to know this happens to other vapers.

I have to wonder if you are suffering more than you're admitting, and if raising your nic level might help, at least to see if it helps quell that "smoke urge" and the nostalgia for the drag.
