Is it possible that when using one battery, the taste of the e-cig is right on and everything is fine..but trying another battery right after makes it taste different? I think it happened a few times to me...I would be using a battery, charged another one and tested it just for the hell of it. The original one had the e-cig working and tasting fine but switching to the charged other one, the e-cig had the burning taste (still produced vapor).

Is it possible that the battery could affect the taste at all, perhaps if it wasn't powering the atomizer enough to atomize the liquid fully? Or was it probably just a coincidence that either a fiber from the cart got stuck and burned on the atomizer or it needed liquid re-filling?

Both batteries have a history so far of working great (and still do now even, after that happened).

The only way I could see a battery effecting the taste is the amount of power in the battery. If it's fully charged, you'll get the most out of the drag and get more vap and possibly more taste. Outside of that, I can't think of anything else.

I think this is totally possible. The first battery you were using was not at full charge and putting out less voltage, but enough that it worked fine. Add the freshly charged battery and your up to full voltage. The atomizer is now running hotter and maybe you were starting to get low on fluid and this temp difference might have cooked the liquid a little more and there is your harsher burnt taste.

The throat hit on my penstyle always seems more after changing to a fresh battery. I always figured it was because the heating element was running hotter.
