For me, the key was the right set up. I tinkered for a week with poor results. Almost gave up.

I'm hoping I don't have to tinker much. I'm running out of money to tinker with.
As a sidenote I was looking at a couple juices from valuevapor.com are they an ok site to deal with? Or does someone have a better suggestion for a un-pricey place to get a couple juices? I've looked at MBV but they are missing a few flavors I think I would like, and also thought maybe penny's since there's a sale right now and I could get a variety pack.

I'm especially interested in the mandarin orange and the choco covered strawberry as well as regular strawberry if that helps.
Also..a 'it gives you wings' flavor wouldn't be an arm-twist either. I could probably live off that drink alone if my stomach could tolerate it.

.... I'm also going to order the extreme ice from MBV.

The Extreme Ice from MBV is what does it for me when I'm craving hard. I have to chain vape a bit to get through it, then I make a switch to something sweet, like their Strawberry or Maraschino Cherry (oh YUM!), and I'm good to go for a good while.

I think you will be surprised just how well vaping works. I know I was shocked. Best thing I ever did.
Consider why vaping works while other nicotine replacement systems do not.

Of course, vaping supplies nicotine like the patch and gum does. But with vaping we have the ability to vape more to get more nicotine when we need it most (ie cig craving). Rubbing the patch will not cause more nicotine to be absorbed. Chewing more Nicorette will only cause an upset stomach or hiccups.

None of the other methods duplicate the "hand-to-mouth" ritual that is ingrained in our brains. None of the other methods give us the satisfaction of inhaling a vapor and exhaling it as if it were smoke.

You'll be quite surprised that one day soon you will be able to taste what a cigarette tastes like for real. It is not a good taste. And you will become disgusted by the smell of walking past a public ashtray.

You'll be totally amazed by smelling for the first time in years the fresh smell of fresh fallen rain on the grass and the earth. How you no longer need to spice food up with pepper or hot sauce in order to taste anything.

I ran out of tinker money a week ago. Bought an eGo twist and an eGo V passthrough after that, plus 4 tanks, cartomizers, and probably 5 juices. Why? Cause I'm not going back. I'll go broke first.

Well, I s'pose you can't buy analogs if you don't have money to buy analogs right?!

Also, I'm looking forward to not having to leave public places just because I'm craving...anyone have any experience with vaping in public? I won't have a cigalike, so it'll obviously not be a cig, but I'm wondering if I'm walking around Walmart or at a zoo or amusement park or something if they'll freak out at me?

Trust me, I've not even fully quit yet and the smell of the b/f's cig smoke drives me bonkers. I just have to explain to myself that mine smell JUST as bad, I just can't tell because they're mine. But yes, secondhand smoke, ashtrays, etc..already made/make me just sick. That's why I don't think I'll have a problem with the whole 'nothing tastes like tobacco' I honestly don't think I actually LIKE the taste of tobacco...just the menthol and the amazing throat hit that comes with a stronger brand (Newport anyone? I'd still be smoking those if they didn't get so freakin expensive!!)

I tell my husband all the time how horrible he smells. I walk through a huge parking lot and can smell someone smoking in their car. I totally understand now why non-smokers hated being around when I did smoke. So glad I discovered the world of vaping but I honestly think I've spent more money because there is so many things out there to experiment with. I'm okay with it!!

Wait until you discover the joys of "vape mail"! That's when you make small orders with different vendors and just get in the habit of rushing to the mailbox every day to see what has arrived! My mailman (woman, actually) knows she is one of my favorite people in the world right now :D

I'm particularly addicted to watching for super sales, many of which end up here:

i did that when i ordered a couple of the disposables. I'd greet my mail lady but she comes by before I can get my lazy ... out of bed.

Make this a hobby. Try different hardware and juices. Get some tobacco flavored juices. I think this is much better than smoking but I have made it a hobby.

I've pretty much did the same...and it's now my favorite hobby...I dropped the analogs and picked up vaping...I started with a local cigalike and moved to eGo stuff shortly there after....started with 18 mg but after constantly sucking on it like a binky, I went to 24 mg and it was much more satisfying...now I'm on the endless journey for the perfect juice....lol

I am 2 weeks into vaping and no cigs at all. I am going to be honest I really didn't have alot of trouble making the switch. I agree the first thing in the morning smoke was the hardest to give up.

WHat I did was buy a bottle of Slims menthol juice at 12 mg which was higher nic than the ultra light smokes I was used to. A few puffs off that stuff first thing in the morning and I was good to go and didn't need the analogs. ALso got one heck of a headrush hahahahahaha.

Now I am down to 6 MG juices and still going strong. Other than that first vape of the day I don't use tobacco juices at all. I also started immediately with an ego-c setup so I never did the analog lookalike vaping rigs. It helped break the mental habit that it looked nothing like an analog.

My best advice get sampler packs of juice that many vendors offer. That lets you try many many flavors and it isn't a big loss if you don't like all of them.

Same here...I smoked my last analog and went to bed one night, got up and started vaping...never lit another smoke. I read a lot about folks struggling with still wanting an analog, but that hasn't been the case with me at all...it was almost too easy and I smoked 1.5 to 2 packs a day for 33 years...

I vape in public standing tall and proud with my vamo. I've been told a few times to go outside and when that happens I don't argue, I say thanks and then go shop at their competitor. I don't shop at walmart, (not vaping related) but the Target by me has no problem with my vaping while I shop. I've made 2 lists on the foursquare app called 'electronic cigarette friendly' and 'electronic cigarette UN friendly' and add places in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. The one that surprised me was when I found out that University of Phoenix Stadium (home of the Arizona Cardinals) has a ban on e-cigs for patrons.

Always remember, just because it's legal to vape indoors it's up to the management of each establishment whether to allow it or not.

After ohhh...14 or so years of smoking, I'm giving it up and switching to vaping. The disposables worked well for a little bit, I was all gung-ho like woooooo I can do this...then reality set in. I came up with excuses (but I just bought a carton! Who's gonna smoke those?!)

I just ordered a Volcano Inferno and I'm really serious about quitting, or at least trying really freakin hard!

1. Does anyone have any tips/recommendations for me first quitting? Other than 'don't beat yourself up if you slip' I've heard that like 20 times.

2. What's a good mg of nic to get if I smoked roughly 3/4pk a day of L&M bold menthol 100's?

3. How long should I wait in between lowering my nic dose so I don't freak my body out too early and feel like I NEED an ickystick?

Any other tips/recommendations would be great as well. Do you think I'd have better success if I start using yummy flavors right away? Or should I stick to menthol tobacco/menthol flavor to begin with? Appx. how long, etc..

I allowed myself to have ONE the first week and Vape All I wanted. After that I decided that I am not going to have ONE. not never, ever

I apologize for the lengthy questions, but I'm really hoping to be a success story instead of a failure.

I allowed myself to have ONE the first week and Vape All I wanted. After that I decided that I am not going to have ONE. not never, ever smoke again. Just simply, I am not going to have one. The vape is unlimited for now. Also, if you like menthol try a ICE or MINthol juice. I have stayed away from tabacco flavors. The mint or ice is better tasting than a cig:2c:
