OK, I used to be a pretty heavy smoker, I bought a piece of garbage e cig from my local smoke shop and did nothing but waste my money, thankfully I found Shawn quickly and been a reordering customer for a little bit now, I own the 510, 401, the VX2 and the pipe is on the way, I love the VX2 , for me the batts last, the carts are good, and vapor production is par on analogs for me, however I wouldn't mind a better throat hit, is there a another one that gives better performance is all areas?

You COULD just use a simple mod to INCREASE the DC voltage to a VX2 atty. The OEM voltage is 3.7VDC, but you could increase that anywhere up to 5VDC for a significant increase in vapor AND throat hit. If you increase it TOO MUCH you will lose all flavor and shorten atty lifespan......but if you increase it just a little, you will get more performance (vapor & throat hit) while still maintaining good flavor. A simple USB or battery powered mod would do the trick for VERY CHEAP!

4 rechargeable NiMH AA cells would give you LONG RUN TIMES at 4.8VDC into the atty and it would work quite well. A direct USB mod would give you 5VDC, but you would get the atty a little hot and lose flavor after a few hits. You would then be forced to either swap attys or WAIT about 2 minutes to let the atty cool to room temp.......OR you could place a simple resistor between the USB port & atty to DROP the voltage a little...maybe to about 4.5VDC.....or 4.2VDC...that would be just PERFECT for increasing vapor & throat hit. I get a nice increase just going from 3.7VDC to 4.0VDC...and it does not shorten atty lifespan or overheat it. It gives me increased performance while still maintaining great flavor. Go over my threads & posts and you'll figure it out pretty fast. If you already have a bunch of various attys around, why not make a cheap MOD for increased performance? I'm not trying to DETER you from buying something nice & new from Shawn....I'm just letting you know that you do have many options aside from buying more PV kits. Presonally, I would very seriously consider buying one of Shawn's upcoming Vapre51 kits....but you could do a simple MOD to use on one or two of your VX2 attys UNTIL that kit becomes available. Do you vape near your computer a lot?

I just got the M-201 from Shawn at Litecig and it's got great throat hit, good vapor, large cart, and good battery life. I couldn't decide between VX2 or M-201. I watched "Figurehead's" video review of the 201 on Youtube and that's what sold me. :)

That was a sound choice. A lot of people love the M-201. I considered a 201 kit myself, but had to go the VX2 route because the other PV's I liked were out of stock and I was not about to wait....I wanted to start vaping and quit analogs ASAP!

I personally get great throat hit using my VX2 with a standard usb connection that I bought through Shawn and a Kenstington personal power pac. I also top off the cart often. With the Kenstington, I don't have to be around my computer and I can take it with me anywhere I go. I vape constantly, and the pac lasts about 24hrs and only needs to be charged for just a hour or two (after the first charge). I do use my PCC and batteries when I go out just for convenience, but the best throat hit is really when the batteries are freshly charged.

EDIT: I must say, though, the 201 has a harder draw, if that' s something you're looking for, I should have said, I can feel it on my throat, when I inhale, if that what is considered a "great throat hit", as in, it feels more like a cig, when you inhale.:)
