I've never done a review before so I'll apologize in advance if I somehow do something un-pc or too long or whatever for reviewers. If this works out OK, I'll review other suppliers I've already used. The majority of this review is solely about the Supplier.
My experience with One Stop DIY Shop came about because like many others, vaping has made it possible to quit analogs and since I also want to save money, I figured the only way I was going to be able to experience all the different flavors was if I did it myself. I started researching here and browsed a few DIY sites. I created an account at One Stop but didn't do anything else. The next day, I went in to work and checked my e-mails and there was an e-mail from Kimberly welcoming me and asking me to let her know if I needed any help. There are really two things very important to me when dealing with suppliers, something you really can't get at the big stores, etc.
1. Customer Service (personal touch I guess you could say)
2. Quality of Product
One Stop already had #1 covered. I e-mailed back and forth with Kimberly discussing my fear of doing this and lack of knowledge and she was able to calm all my fears and offered her cell number so we could discuss it further. At the time, my budget would not permit me to dive in yet so she said to just call her when I was ready. Now, I have never had much patience so after a few days and after finding the PV I use 2 for 1 at the same price as 1, I re-looked at my budget and said FF it...I'm gonna do it. Now, I wasn't able to talk to Kimberly before I ordered the DIY Artisan Master Kit so I was a little afraid I had not ordered everything I needed to be completely in business but I ordered anyway (the whole lack of patience thing at work again). This was on Thursday 5/27 around 2:00 pm. I went back to work to get my mind of it and well..to do my job.
At around 4:00 pm, I was afraid it was not going to ship out that same day but shortly thereafter, I got a phone call. It was Kimberly, letting me know she was on the way to the post office with my package. Now that again is the kind of customer service that gets me and keeps me. She knew how afraid I was that I would not order everything I needed, so she let me know I did indeed have all I needed, plus a few freebies she had thrown in...Woot!!! Freebies..first time I've gotten them since I started ordering vaping stuff. She assured me that she and Shane would be available to help me anytime I needed and to make sure I contacted them with any questions or problems. I was super excited and really felt like they would take care of me. Now, it's clear they want business and as far as I'm concerned, this is how you get it and like I said, with quality supplies, you keep it.
I chose to order mostly "Professional Flavors" as I had read that Loraan's could be a little weak and ordered; Milk Chocolate, Sweet Cream, tobacco, White Chocolate, Green Apple, English Toffee, Coffee, and one Loraan's-Bavarian Cream. I chose the 48 mg strength so I could dilute to 36 initially and on down as I can, and PG as my dilution liquid as I already had some Quintons VG at home that I had seen at my Hobby Lobby and picked up.
I was really hoping I would get my kit by today but kept my hopes low so not to be too dissappointed, so when my doorbell rang at 2:00 pm today, I literally scared the crap out of my cats hollering and running down the stairs (I'm damm lucky I didn't fall flat on my face btw). My mail lady thinks I'm nuts (and she very well could be right
). Kid in candy store image should come to mind right now
.
I got all the supplies, mixing directions, and more. Freebies included were: 2 - 6cc Bottles; 4 - 3cc Bottles; 1 -Large funnel; 1 - 5ML Syringe; 1 -10ml beaker thingie; 1 - pair of gloves. (Pics of the complete kit and the freebies below). A very nice hand written note was included as well.
Now, for the quality of the product. Excellent describes it well. So far, I've made, 24 mg Green Apple for my son, 36 mg Coffee for my husband and a 36 mg mixture of Coffee/English Toffee for myself. I used their mixing directions and Scubabatdan's calculator that I had downloaded when I first started thinking about doing this. One Stop also has a calculator linked on their site off the FAQ's.
Their Professional Flavors are really pungent. I could smell them the second I opened the box and they were very well wrapped and in a baggie. The nicotine liquid delivered the same hit I've gotten from the other 36 mg liquids I've gotten once I diluted to 36 mg. The sky is the limit as far as the mixes I can and want to make.
One Stop DIY Shop is top notch in both of my key requirements. Thank you Kimberly and Shane for making my first ever experience in the DIY world great!!!
