When I finally stopped, guess what worked for me? Forgot to add this in my first reply to you. I allowed myself to smoke, then it went down to taking a few drags and putting the .... out in an ashtray. Then relighting that same .... for another drag or two later on when I had a craving...until one day I realized I hadn't smoked at all. And that's the rest of the pack I still keep on my desk. One problem is that as smokers we got programmed for a "start and end" to each smoke, we don't have to do that with ecigs.
That is so true...I discussed with a friend of mine in the beginning I was feeling edgy because I think I was used to getting a more steady stream of nicotine and was only taking a few puffs of the e-cig at a time. I am holding one most of the day now. I would like to eventually cut out the nicotine altogether (I think? LOL) but one step at a time. I am actually getting to the point where the "thought" of smoking an analog really is grossing me out....as long as my nic level is up and everything is charged, lol. I just imagine if I smoked one I would want to shower and it would take days to feel like I really got the yucky smell/taste out of my mouth!

Guava I did the exact same thing!! LOL I still have a half a pack and one half smoked .... of analogs on my patio table out back. Today is my 3rd week vaping and I dont think about my analogs anymore. I dont know why I haven't thrown them away. I guess its the finality, I smoked the stinking things for 39 years.
It
s funny that the finality of it hasn't struck me more...because that's an excellent point. If you think about it....smoking was something we did for most of our lives. What else have we been as committed to other than the basic life functions, such as eating, drinking, breathing, evacuating, sleeping? I guess you could consider clothing and hygeine an OPTION, lol. But really I am sort of contemplating that point now...why aren't I GRIEVING more over the loss of something that was so HUGE in my life??? I think because I don't feel it's gone...just morphed, like it went into a pod, and instead of coming out a monster, it came out an angel. :)
