I haven't touched an analog in a week. That's not all that impressive. I've quit cold turkey before, sometimes for months at a time.

What is impressive (to me at least) is that I haven't even wanted a real smoke. It's not that vaping is merely "good enough" to to allow me to not smoke without going crazy - it's actually better. This isn't some half-assed replacement like nic gum or patches. I'm enjoying vaping more than smoking.

And just to be totally clear, I wasn't one of those people who was sick of smoking but couldn't quit. I still did enjoy smoking. I wasn't a slave to the nicotine and the habit. Well, OK, maybe I was. But I was still a happy slave. If not for the health and cost factors, I could have gone on smoking for quite some time.

And despite all that, I still like vaping better. The real test came over the weekend when I went out drinking with some friends. That was always the impossible part when I'd quit in the past. Drinking beer without smoking is like hot wings without bleu cheese. I could understand the theory behind it, but it never worked in practice. Well this worked. I got good and hammered, and I was perfectly content to suck on my 510 instead of a real cigarette. It wasn't the hollow experience that drinking without smoking usually is.

I don't foresee ever going back. This just works too well, and it's too much fun. Maybe at some point I'll dial down the nic levels. Maybe I'll get down to 0mg eventually. But I don't see ever wanting or needing a real cigarette again. This is great!

Seems most people have to taper off of cigarettes when starting to vape. I know I did. I let myself smoke l every night. It eventually got where is could not stand a cigarette. Its still hard to believe I actually quit after 40 years. You know it has to be a good product to do this for someone who thought they would never quit. It will be my l year anniversary on April 9. I going to celebrate.

Good luck on vaping.

Two weeks now, and still no desire to smoke. The only down side is that I am spending way more on vaping than I ever did on cigarettes. It's not that I have to, but there is just too much cool stuff that I want to try.

Yeah, there's *that* part of it too. =)

The novelty wears off after awhile. At least that's what I keep reading from others. Me, not so much. <g>

I'm now 1 week in with zero analogs to boot. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't had cravings for analogs, especially is very stressful situations. But each and every time I've reached for my 510 and found that it totally satisfied my cravings. I'm also finding that the flavours I got are really starting to grow on me. At first I found that they were all pretty bland, but I'm starting to notice the subtle differences between different tobacco flavours. I still find that the tobacco ones are my favs, currently I'm vaping Marlboro, Virginia Flue Cured and a special made-in-canada juice called "Do More, Eh" meant to replicate canadian cigarettes. None of them really taste like actual analogs, but I do find that they very much remind me of analogs which is close enough. I also got a whole bunch of sweet flavours (Very berry, grape, cinnibiscus) in my initial order, but i've found that they're a bit too sickly-sweet for my palate. Mind you, I absolutely love Red Bull, but it definitely isn't an all-day vape.

Wow, congratulations, you've done the impossible! I had to quit morning coffee and my evening wine sipping before I started vaping. After vaping for a while, i was able to go back to morning coffee. I'm a coward, so I'll wait a while before resuming my wine sipping and my summer margaritas. Just kind of wondering if you had LESS of a hangover without all the analog poisons mixed with the alcohol. And it's always better to ask someone than to try it myself, heh heh. Keep up the good work!
