I had that problem and started soaking them in isopropyl. Worked like a charm, even on the attys I thought were deader than mackerels.

Look for the thread in this folder on cleaning atomizers--Tony posted a link to a video.

Short version: soak atty for a few minutes (fifteen or so), then dip it into the alcohol and let it run through (out the battery end). At first it will dribble, then run in a nice steady stream. Then wipe the atty off and let it air dry. After it is dry, prime and vape.

I keep the alcohol in a tiny plastic container with a snap-on lid and rotate between two attys--one is drying while I am using the other. The atty gets cleaned daily. This has been working extremely well for me.

I've had some that I thought went dead as well. If you are getting nothing at all from it, take a paper clip and slip it in the hole on the bottom of the threaded end. That center piece is one of the electrical contacts and it sits in a rubber boot to isolate it from the threaded part. Sometimes that contact gets pushed down a bit, and then it doesn't make good contact with the battery. Try wiggling it a little bit with the paper clip and pulling it out. Don't pull too hard or stick the paper clip in too far. You don't want to knock the wire or solder off the end. Just use the end of the paper clip and try to work it out a bit so that it sticks above the threaded end.

I've done this on a few that I thought were toast and they started working like new again. Hope this helps!

HOLY SMOKES! I mean... HOLY VAPES! The ESSS ESSSS IZ ALIIIIVE!! Watched the cleaning vid. Did what the dude did. DING-DONG VAPE!

thanx ya'll!

\m/

btw... garnoch and others... when it's time to prime, use the flavors you hate. that way if the atty is truly dead, you haven't wasted the good juice.

ALSO. i stole my wifes small culinary syringe and pushed alcohol thru the atty from the bridge side to better wash it out.
